With the release of Bourbon County coming soon, I thought I would share a whisper I heard, in hopes you all might share other possible bourbon county release locations with me too! I heard from a reliable source that there will be cases and a keg tapped of BCS at the bellevue QFC on the morning of black friday. Does this mean growler fills?

everything "whispered" last year was nonsense and didn't play out. don't waste your time.

as far as sharing the release locations: total wine, ballard market, bottleworks (they tweet when they get stuff in), and 99 bottles all got it in last year randomly and with no rhyme or reason for the schedule and i suspect it's the same way this year.

Bob's Liquor on Lake City was on the release list last year. Not sure if they actually got it.

I'll be in Omaha for Thanksgiving visiting my in-laws, so I won't be partaking in the "fun."

What about Chuck's in Greenwood on 85th? Coffee variant at the central district sounds yummy!

I haven't seen anything posted for the 85th location, but just check with their FB. Since I only live a mile from the Greenwood location, I would prefer an event there

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but as of today, it doesn't seem like WA will be receiving a single case of variants. Only a handful of Coffee kegs. As for regular, the official release day is Black Friday... I won't get my (very small) allocation until the next week though, as my delivery day isn't Friday, and I won't make my rep hand deliver it. As with most limited releases, I wouldn't be surprised to see some places receive a second drop a few weeks later.

I don't understand this chase for an InBev/A-B beer. IMO there are better bourbon-barrel-aged stouts right here in our own backyard and no chase is required. Hint, hint: BBADS aka KDS (and there are variants actually available). You won't be catching me giving A-B a dime of mine if I can help it.

Rueben's also released their BA stout this past weekend, but I think it actually sold out faster than BCBS does here...

this really can't be echo'd enough. how many other states have access to local, barrel-aged beers that are world class nearly 12 months of the year? i really can't think of any other example.

Agree w/ @BuckeyeOne. No interest whatsoever in Whatcom County Brand Stout.

Could one of the Bellingham breweries make this beer? Would they face the wrath of ABIB?

Having finally recently tried regular BCBS and the Coffee version, I am firmly say I agree with this. They're both very good beers, but Fremont and Reuben's do these styles just as well or better.

I hate me some Inbev-budweiser, but those GI barrel aged stouts dominate anything in this market or really any other market as far as i'm concerned. Pains me to say that, but it just is what it is.

I do like the Fremont bourbon barrel variants. I feel like they do need a moment to cellar. But a very great local offering. I like Pike's too, they won 1st place at one of the events in Fremont a month or so back.

What's up with beer bashing?? Sounds more like it's based on the company more than the beer....does the BA community rate both BCS beers highly?

    It's entirely about the company

Don't you remember last year's debacle?

Was there any resolution to that whole situation with the Bellingham store getting ALL THE BCBS?
