Looking to trade for some Vanilla Rye and '14 Prop after it's released. What do you think the trade value of these older Goose variants would be??

    Rare
    King Henry
    Cherry Rye
    Backyard

I'd think it'd be somewhere close to this:

    Backyard 1:1 with Vanilla Rye
Cherry Rye 1:1 with '14 Prop
King Henry 1:2 with '14 Prop + Vanilla Rye
    Rare 1:3 with '14 Prop + Vanilla Rye x2

Curious to see what Florida gets, but how would the el catador beers from CCB hold up in trading for these beers? It would be 6 beers at the moment plus the CCB teku.

I never had vanilla and feel like it's gonna be incredible as will prop.

Had them both at FoBAB. Vanilla rye was amazing and Prop was garbage! That's a fact.

Lol C'mon man, "Prop was garbage" in your opinion. Myself, and (obviously) many others, thought it was great. The appearance sucks, and is slightly off-putting, but it tastes great. It's definitely worth trying, and you'll most likely enjoy it, but I wouldn't trade away the farm for it.

I've also NEVER known you to give a "garbage" beer a 4 rating

What is off-putting about the appearance?

I was at FOBAB too, I'm a sour guy so side project took the cake for me, but i had prop a few times, cold it was very cinnamon forward, but after it warmed, a lot more flavors came out. Now when i mixed the coffee, vanilla, and prop i made the best beer in the world. I should work for GI.

I don't believe you AT ALL!!! Prove it! Send me a Prop, I'll mix some with my Vanilla & Coffee and confirm. :grinning:

I've tried something similar to this with no results, though I don't think many pretrades are getting done. My offer was Rare+ for 2x Prop and 1x Vanilla.

It looked like a Lost Abbey Stout, (think Angels Share) murky, flat, nothing going on.

It was garbage for what BCBS varients normal are in terms of quality. Its the worst BCBS variant that I have had from GI by a long shot. I guess that I should have clarified that...

I heard multiple people say this about the early tappings of Prop at FOBAB. Didn't see it myself, and all the pours I got were fantastic. Not sure what the deal was with that.

I did just get about 5 or 6 pours of it on a GI barrel house tour last night. Fucking fantastic, with none of what you reported being the case. Killed the keg, getting ready to kill some bottles as soon as I can.

    Question in regards to ratios.

    Le Sarrasin : Vanilla Rye
    Sue : Vanilla Rye

    Thoughts ?

I would think Serrasin to Vanilla would be 2:1 with a + on the Serrasin for $4$

    I'm thinking

    2 Sue : 3 Vanilla
    1 Le Sarrasin : 2 Vanilla

    But I appreciate the feedback

Not everywhere is going to get vanilla , i have heard only the places where there is a GI release planed, not sure how many places that is but it might be a little harder to get than backyard was last year.
