I know many prefer tap beer, but if I had my druthers all the beer I drink would be bottle conditioned.

For both - cask conditioned is my first preference, although when IPA's get over the 7/8% ABV mark I sometimes prefer it from a keg as I like to drink a strong IPA/DIPA slightly colder than cask temperatures (there are a few exceptions). I never rush a DIPA and sometimes cask offerings warm a little too much by the time I've reached the final third of the glass

In terms of tap (keg) or bottle for IPA - no real preference

Tap or bottle choice for a strong stout, say 8% ABV+ I definately prefer bottle so I can take it from the fridge and try it cold (maybe leave it out for 20 minutes first off) and then let it warm and taste the flavours developing

Yes, it's either cask or it isn't.There's not all that much difference between keg and bottle after all.

On tap, for sure but these days I rarely get to a bar to pay two or three times as much as much for beer.

In my town, the draught offerings seem to have a better turn over rate than the same beers in bottles(reason?) so I'd have to say taps for the freshness factor.

For ipa yes but not stout, for me, especially high abv bottle suites best coz u can age it and mellow out them alcohol ..

So many factors involved here its hard to generalise and chose a clear winner. Depends on the brewery, the beer, the batch, the style, the region, the age of the beer, availability etc etc etc.

For the most part, taps. Although, there is something to be said for the aesthetic quality of some bottles...and yes the quality when stored properly, will be there.
It`s close for me, but I will stick to the first line...taps !

Why? I don't think tap is worth the extra $$$$$,

If you aged them properly bottles can yield some amazing stuff vs tap where most bar pushing them out when they are not ready ..

For me, tap gets me out of the house and down to a local where I can meet friends and/or make new friends and I can enjoy the freshest product in town. I *do* notice a growing tendency of people playing with their smart phones replacing conversing with the folks around them and I find that a bit disturbing. Oh well...another pint, please.

I don't have the problem of finding cellarable brews on tap in Casper but I wouldn't hesitate to buy, let's say, a Deschutes The Abyss on tap if I saw it, best after date be damned.(I do agree that my example here gets extraordinary when cellared correctly)
