Prairie Artisan Ales "Coming soon! (end of the year)" https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=747179142030620
Someone gets into a taxi and finds a magical portal to a video game world where you are the crazy cabbie, which goes perfectly with those Amarillo hops.
Crazy Cabbie should be the name of their Cabernet grape sour, Praire Ill just need a couple of bottles for that beer name gold
Prairie is wise to play off their Prairie Gold sour. Easily one of their best beers of the year (FGM).
I believe so, one of the bars in Tulsa told me that Chase didn't approve of the final product and pulled it. This was a while back, but I am pretty sure it was the Apricot Funk
It was their peach funk. It fell off pretty quick. There was something wrong with it so Chase pulled the kegs back.
Hopefully they try again and succeed with the Apricot Funk. Seems like everyone that makes a worthwhile saison is getting into the peach/apricot banger game. One more wouldn't hurt
Me too. I'm bummed their peach collab with JK didn't work out but still excited to see what they brewed up. If I were a guessing kind of guy, which I am, I'd guess that Prairie's sour program really takes off after they have Prairie Farms complete and they move in. I know they have a blackberry sour in the works (Tulsa Funk) too. Hoping 2015 is the year of Prairie sours like 2014 was the year of Bomb!.
Peach funk went from delicious to mystery vinegar bomb strangely fast. I hope the new golf course area allows them to increase the sour production significantly.
I'm on the fence about making the farm 100% sour. We are currently working towards housing 100 Puncheons in the Farm's cellar(120-160 gal barrel). We'll have 50 by year's end. They hold spontaneous and lactobacillus/brett sour beer.
