Simple question for those in the know. I am drinking Great Lakes Nosferatu this evening. It tastes fine with no signs of it being off. I noticed though that there are floaters in it. It looks like yeast. so my question is: Is Nosferartu an unfiltered beer? Or am I just special and got an off batch?
The Silence is deafening! I will report myself then… The Verdict is that after a couple of these the consumer no longer is concerned with what is floating around in it! Cheers!
Not sure if Nosferatu is unfiltered, but, I'd drink it up either way. The sediment at the bottom of the bottle is more flavor and nutrients in my opinion.
My understanding is floaties can happen regardless of filtration, and are not indicative of an off-batch. But I'm not expert, I just like beer and spend way too much money on it.
It's fine. I often find protein precipitation in beers that sit on the shelf around 3+ months from bottling. Nosferatu is right around there at this point. Nothing to worry about! It is a very common thing in most beers. Nosferatu is crystal clear when it is fresh.
And here I thought this thread was going to be the ever-popular "Did they change the recipe this year?"
Love Nosferatu & never have I seen floaties, bought at least 4 -4packs this season soooo it's never sitting around long enough to find out.
