There are a few outstanding breweries that only distribute in one state (e.g., Alchemists, Alpine, Ale Apothecary, Lawson's). Who do you think makes world class beer that is only available for purchase in state?

From WA, both Bale Breaker and Fremont, but both are expanding, so they probably won't be on this list a year from now.

    recently visited milwaukee and florida.

in wisconsin, o'so was bangin. some other hoppy brewery i didn't get a chance to try but i suspect they're great from trustworthy sources.

funky buddha in florida is excellent. went there twice, wouldn't have minded just fucking lounging there the whole week.

edit: some excellent ones here in new york by the way. peakskill makes world class hoppy beers. other half hit or miss for me, but the hits are mindblowing. big love for kelso.

lol no. VT is amazing, but come on, not even close. have to branch out.

edit: i mean, not to get all blasphemous or anything, but i've had better barrel aged dark beers and sours from cambridge brewing company and lots of random places. for saisons, hill farmstead is untouchable. hoppy beers, they're as good as it gets (though many are almost as good or equal--matter of preference really)... but there's way more out there in america to knock your socks off, if i can put another dumb idiom in this post.

Not 100% sure on this but Live Oak in TX is fantastic. Though, they may be more than one state, I have only ever had a growler from hem via trade.

Probably because Prairie distributes to 21 states and Tallgrass to 15. One state wonders means only distributes to one state. Now that that's all clear

I'm surprised at the relatively small amount of credit given Lefty's in western Mass. They're about five years old and make a variety of awesome ales such as imperial porter, smoked porter , scotch ale, breakfast stout, oatmeal chocolate stout, maple ale, etc. Highly recommended.
