I Contacted Community About Bottle Dates...

    ...and here's what they said:

    Thanks for reaching out to Community, and for your support of our beers! We absolutely appreciate the feedback. We are looking to move towards bottle dating as we expand our bottling production (will hopefully be looking at an entirely new bottling line in the near future!). In the meantime, we are dating every case of beer (including Mosaic) that leaves our warehouse. Your local retailer should be able to provide you with bottled on dates for all of our products based on the case date. If you ever come across any of our brews that strike you as off flavored, please don't hesitate to reach out directly so that we can A) hook you up with some replacement product, on us and B) get our on-site reps out to the correct the issue ASAP!
    Thanks again for the note- and make sure to stop by our taproom for some as-fresh-as-it-gets brews here on site!

    Satisfactory answer from an up and coming brewery IMO.

    Good to hear. I asked the beer guy at Specs about bottle dates for Mosaic and he didn't know. Just said they don't date the bottles.

    I've always heard the cases are dated. But the case isn't always available and employees rarely care to look at the date codes on them.

    Austin peeps, Whichcraft has Mosiac bottled yesterday as of today if you want fresh. Just saw their tweet.

    Awesome that they responded. I've emailed a few breweries for one reason or the other....I have yet to have one respond to me. That's kind of a bummer.

    Yeah, when I have bought their kegs and emailed asking what they carbed the beer to, Jamie responded himself very quickly.

    I looked at 4 different cases on the floor at specs today and didnt see a date on any of them. Mosaic

    Most employees don't give a damn about bottling dates, so good luck finding out the case date. Nice to know they plan to start bottle dating, though.

    A great response from a stand-up brewery. Community is doing some great things, and I'm happy to support them. If you ever get a chance to visit their taproom, they usually have some unique one-offs on tap, and they are dog friendly.

    Mosaic is fantastic. I'm drinking one now and it's in my top 10. I've wanted dates on the bottles so thanks for reaching out to them. I do plan on visiting them sometime soon.

    so it was on the top then? Those stamps were definitely not on the cases I looked at yesterday.

    all of the 25 cases that i got of MosaicIPA on 25th were stamped on top left and had new bottle caps with there logo on it -

    I picked up a six of mosiac and a four of legion that was icey cold yesterday at WhichCraft. As always a great experience. I'm already looking forward to getting more mosiac

    Pick up a six pack of Mosaic this week from Kroger (kinda hard to get there...they can't seem to keep it in stock!). Bottles are now dated.

    Anybody else notice that Mosaic IPA is now at 8.6%? I wondering if this is a permanent change or just a higher gravity for this batch.

    They amped it up a couple of months ago I think. It's approaching DIPA territory really. Magically delicious.
