Out him so he can respond to these allegations. Members need to know who this is before they agree to a trade with him. One thing we've been seeing here is that previous stellar trade feedback doesn't disqualify someone from becoming a bad trader.

 

Somebody with 25+ completed trades and perfect feedback should definitely know how this works, but we all know that there are 3 sides to every story. We've heard from you, I would like to hear from him and then the jury, aka your fellow BAs, can figure this out.

 

if he sent the wrong beers (weather intentionally or not) he needs to make up for it.

If there is an issue with any beer, he can't hold that against you. The brewer may have not wanted a highly carbonated beer since it is an Imperial Stout.

 

Yeah, that's ridiculous. It's really easy, especially right here on this site, to do a little research and get some feedback on a particular beer before one trades for it.

A few questions to ask before I make a judgment even without hearing the other side (assuming you have proof through texts or BM's)
(1) were the beers to be exchanged clearly defined on both parties sides?
(2) were addresses exchanged and ship dates/scheduled communicated?
(3) he received the correct beers? You didn't receive the correct beers?
If all those are yes, then he DEFINITELY needs to fix this!!! And ship what was agreed upon. It doesn't matter how good your feedback is and how many trades you've made. I don't have a problem adding a reputable trader to my DTL. Hope this gets resolved.

 

There are mistakes, there are accidents....and then there's this.

This isn't a situation where a box was damaged or lost in shipment and the person won't, or can't, make good,on it.

This isn't a situation where someone made an honest mistake and sent the wrong beer (which people have done to me)

Nope.......this is a situation where the person purposefully set out to screw you, and did it.

And in hindsight, it looks like this was his,plan all along. He asks you to ship first. Takes him time drinking your beers and evaluating what he thinks they're worth, then sends you what he feels like.

Fucking incredible. There's no grey area here. There's no explanation that works, assuming your version of events is accurate.

And @Graffy .....this is where your responsibility comes in. I'd be willing to bet this isn't the first time he's done something like this. He screwed you, because nobody left bad feedback for him before. So it's up to you to make sure he doesn't do it to somebody else.

Again, this is all presuming youve told the story accurately

I had beers with him in a little tasting at the BASC release.

If the facts are as you state and he does not come through, hit me up and Ill send you my last BASC out of my stash and throw in a few other things for the trouble ( including a WW from my trip back through Asheville ).

I am hoping it is a misunderstanding and he comes through.
I take it personally when it is people I have met.

 

I boggles my mind that people think they can pull these stunts and will get away with it. Ughhhh...

Damn, looks like I'm gonna start a bad trader list. I can't keep up with all these people.

FTR, I have heard in a few different cases that there was zero carb in the Monsters Park beers. But nothing about them being terrible. Just flat.

 

I'm starting to feel like I'm in the BA twilight zone. The amount of bad/questionable trader threads recently is ridiculous and despicable.

 

Not sure if its just my phone but nothing comes up.
