Does this happen to anyone else? I've had Pepe Nero a month or so ago, and yesterday Sofie. They both tasted pretty good but about halfway in I let go with a string of about 15 to 20 hard sneezes. Never happens with any other beer. Something to do with the yeast I'm assuming. I don't really have a larger point, I just thought it was strange was wondering if it is common with saisons. Cheers!

Haven't had that happen, but I've had my throat tighten up after drinking saisons, & I'm pretty sure it's a reaction to the yeast.

I've never had that sort of reaction with any type of beer. That said, I don't have any known allergies. Are you allergic to other common things?

DIPAs have the same effect on me.

You may be allergic to some ingredient. Or it could be pepper in the beer. When I drink certain lagers my nose starts to run.

You must be allergic to funk. Avoid saisons and George Clinton.

My girlfriend's allergies go crazy when drinking saisons and IPAs.....her two favorite types of beers. It is the cruelest of jokes played by the beer gods. Seriously though, it does suck and doesn't seem all that uncommon. She still powers through them but will limit herself to one per drinking period so that her palate does not get destroyed by her allergic reaction.

Interesting thread. I don't have food allergies, but dark chocolate makes me sneeze after about 30 seconds (usually two or three sneezes, then I'm fine). However, I seem to be fine with chocolate beers.

The dank things make me sneeze. I was tested for allergies years ago and it was determined that I was allergic to all native trees and grasses. I've learned to live with it. A huge sneezing fit sucks, but a couple feels kind of good.
