    From last night...

    Opened my oldest Tired Hands acquisition, Guillemot, in the joy of the announcement of ALien Church being brewed again. Fantastic beer, a more bitter/darker Russian River Consecration if I have to compare it to something.

    About Alien Church...I've been harassing Jean, the head brewer and owner of TH, about brewing it again for months! It's my favorite beer from Tired Hands. Saw him on Saturday and he said he's on it. I joked that he should renamed it "Al-ien Church" because I love it so much (my name is Al in case some of you are wondering). He thought that was funny. Sunday, he gave a subtle shoutout when announcing its coming back to acknowledge my plea. So stoked! Looking forward to grabbing another 7 growlers of it. Oh, looks like they will be bottling this at the new facility, too. I believe!

    Wrapped up the night with this uninspiring Prairie Fred's Blend because I wanted to use the glass :grinning:. It's basically Bomb! in oak barrel...which doesn't shiny through. It's good, but it's just a Bomb!. I wouldn't hire Fred to blend anything for me.

    Finished the evening with this. What a damn fine finale. There's a reason this is the #1 barleywine.

    ..best to share with a friend (as I did). Otherwise the 13.5% will kick your ass. At least after the first 4 brews.
