Founders Big Luscious

My understanding (albeit from the cashier at the brewery) in that is basically a combination of Rubaeus and Breakfast Stout, approximately 1/4 and 3/4. I've actually done that and it's delicious, so I'm excited to try this one. Hopefully it makes it fairly far into distro. I still see Dissenter on the shelves here in NH so I'm hopeful.

 

It's Founders. It's good. Who would have thought?

Also, this taste like a new beer. I don't believe for a second that is a blend (which I have done).

 

I already have my review up for it, so what's there has already been said.

The only thing I'll add is that if you were not a fan of Rubaeus, I would suggest you may not care for this brew.

From what I'm hearing from bottle shops, this stuff is flying off the shelves. Get it now while you can!

 

Case of it sitting on the shelf at the local place. $15.99.. Might sit around at that price, but I picked up a bottle and plan to drink it soon enough.

 

Come over to Arizona. We seem to get all of the Founders now. But hey, we don't have your locals.

 

Looking forward to trying this. I got a feeling that this may be the best backstage in awhile.

When I went to Founders the bartender hooked me up with Rubaeus and Breakfast Stout blend. It was really tasty but I don't think that is what this is.

 

FBS Blend? It might not be that bad...

 

Pretty sweet raspberry up front, but nice dry chocolate finish.

 

Tastes like a chocolate raspberry cake cordial. Very little bitterness which I would expect if breakfast stout was the base.

 

Ouch, we are selling it for $10.49. Grabbing those margins on limited beers

 

Getting a bottle from a co-worker in Grand Rapids; so excited. If I can manage to get a couple extra bottles, I'll let you guys know!!

 

I'm wondering how it compares to Hardywood's Raspberry Stout, if anyone here has had both.

 

Its nice that since the first few, backstage pass is a lot more accessible. In fact, I think i can find a case worth of dissenter on shelves near my house.

 

Far superior in my opinion.. but that's just me

I love when corporate stores forget to raise the retail of items to match cost. Ive got some steals that way at my store alone.
