Let's hear it! Oldest to youngest? Youngest to oldest? Why?

Youngest to oldest. It's good to get an idea of what a beer tastes like fresh. That way you can see how it changes with each year of aging.

I second youngest to oldest. It will give you a frame of reference moving throughout the years or a baseline in which to judge all the subsequent brews by.

2002 first, 1997 second, 2011 third. The rest are no good, trust me.

Youngest to Oldest but save a lot of extra so you can compare individual years.

You need many glasses and you take two sips of one and move onto the next. Then you go back and forth and attempt to discern the differences. Doesn't matter which end you start at, but you should start at one end. On this one, we drank coffee last.

Youngest to Oldest. You get a better comparison and can tell when the vertical peaks.

I'd say in any semi-random, arbitrary order.

Am I missing something? There were no beers mentioned at all until the eighth post, by someone else.

Unless this was supposed to be a joke. In that case- *fwoosh hand over head

I would love to get a "vertical" together and tell everyone they span a number of years but are in reality the same vintage....then just take notes on the results.

I'm a fan of jumping around after starting younger to older.

I would do searches for weather similarities and variances, vintage to vintage and pair them that way. And then extrapolate about weather trends and barley/hops quality each year. Nah. Young to old, please.

Are you saying "no" to my answer? Last time I checked, it was still my answer, regardless if anyone agrees or not. Just sayin'

I was making a little joke relative to your second post. I think the answer is obvious and no harm meant at all.

Interesting idea. Removes the expectation of a linear change between beers.

Much of my undergraduate degree was in test design and measurement. The test designer in me loves messing with expectations. Perception is an interesting thing. *Evil laughter*
