Embarrassing confession: while looking over my brewing records, I've found that in over 20 years of brewing I've brewed my fair share of American IPAs, English IPAs, session IPAs, black IPAs, Belgian IPAs, etc. - but no double IPAs. WTF? I plan to remedy that oversight sometime this weekend. Anyone else going to light the burners?

As I usually do each year, I will be using the day I like to refer to as "Free Day" (others know it a Black Friday) to brew up a Koelsch. Right now the yeasties are eating away at the second-stage starter wort. They seem quite happy. As suggested by Nathan Smith (see recent video of NHC talk on Chop n Brew blog), I'm going with Belma for the hops. My recipe is similar to the one Nathan posted here.

Cheers and Happy Turkey Day, y'all !

I have brewed on "Buy Nothing Day" for the last 2 years and plan to keep up the tradition. Going to bottle a Flanders Red and pitch fresh wort on top of the dregs.

Will be brewing an Oatmeal Stout on Monday, which is the last day of my long weekend. And probably moving KTG clone to secondary.

Going to be doing some gravity reading and maybe.. just maybe.. moving some sour/wild saison to a barrel..

Other than that, I plan to be too many sheets to the wind till Saturday that I won't be able to do much other than enjoy the company and the holiday.

I'll be brewing an IPA, a saison or Brett beer (depending on if my dregs take off or not), and replacing the beer in my barrel with fresh wort.

I've got to work all weekend, including the holiday. Bottled a chocolate mint stout last night, though.

No brewing for me, but will possibly be bottling my American Barleywine. Also doing my 3rd attempt to culture the yeast from St Bernardis. It is my 4 year anniversary of brewing. Odd to not be brewing, but that's life. 5 year for sure.

Brewing a lambic inspired sour pale with dregs and Wyeast Roeselare tonight. Hopefully racking my Super Saison to a keg to dry hop, but it may need another week.

I think I will give it a go, I have not brewed in quite a while. Last time I tried I found a crack in my cooler mash tun. The preheat water kept turning black. I decided it was time for a new cooler.

If I can manage to change out the hardware I will brew up a 10 gallon batch of IPA. Dull, I know, but I am considering dumping a pound of hops in all at once. That will be exciting.

I've got my tripel to bottle, and once that's done I'll probably be out of the brewing game until spring comes around. Now it'll be time to concentrate on drinking all this beer! I'll probably have about 150 bottles of homebrew in my basement by the time I'm done. Once they're all ready for drinking, I'm going to make a flight of my 5 batches so far and see if I've learned anything.

Ended up able to make sterile vials for stealing yeast, a few pints of sterile wort, and a few agar plates.

Brewed an oatmeal stout this morning. Question for the forum that I was going to research in the coming weeks before bottling. Anybody added coffee directly to a bottle? I don't want to make the whole batch coffee, just 6-12 bottles.

Bottling a Belgo IPA on Sunday, that's it.

When I return home on Saturday or Sunday, I'll probably keg my Mosaic IPA that I put on dry hops last Thursday before starting a vacation.

I'm brewing something. Not sure what yet. Want to break in my new brew kettle. Maybe a chocolate stout.
