That does include going to bottle shares and store tastings, so a lot of 2-4 oz pours. Definitely not 1500 full beers do the dome! Maybe it will slow down, the first 1000 came in about a year. Let's just say I'm an optimist.

    Nothing wrong with being optimistic!

Congrats on your milestone. That Tasmanian is a very solid beer to have for it that's for sure. One of my favorites.

It may sound like a lot but 100 beers really isn't a lot, at least it wasn't for me. And this is back in the day before I got into craft beer, since drinking macro swill 20 years ago with the occasional "craft" mixing in. Download the untappd app and you'll be amazed at how many different beers you've had over the years without even trying.

Number 100 last night with Delirium Nocturnum--I knew the milestone beer would be a little underwhelming given my current situation. Decent beer, although it is inferior to Chimay Blue. I would prefer Tremens to it also.

Good news! I heard from a Schlafly rep, and he told me that TIPA is going to be a 6 month beer in the future. I hear September through February now. Two more months!

I try to grab something I feel is worthy in my collection at the time for every 100th beer. The one Stone was super fresh at that milestone so I went with it. My earliest reviews(3-4 years ago) had a few that I consider a main stay in my cellar now with multiple year verticals now. It's been a gradual journey.

I passed up a couple of less than exciting but would have been new to me choices at a local taphouse to hit #500 with a local collaboration - Street Cred from Triple Crossing/The Answer Brewpub. It was a solid beer, and it felt good going with an up-and-coming local brewery for the milestone.

Schlafly TIPA is a great beer! Good choice... I remember when I was keeping track of Beer Karma back in the early days, I was approaching one of the benchmarks and I wanted to make the beer that I drank to put me past it something special. I didn't realize that you got Karma for things other than reviews... What pushed me over the edge to the next benchmark? Tecate.... I had to laugh....

Tasmania is a great beer, but if you can get your hands on Schlafly's American IPA(AIPA) please do so. It is in my opinion, better than Tasmania.

This news just made me an extremely happy beer advocate! I will take all I can get, as this has quickly become one of my favorites as far as IPA's go. It is also, for me (living near St. Louis, MO), one of the easiest IPA's for me to get my hands on while it is extremely fresh.

Any word on when this may happen? Next year I would guess, as it would be kind of late to change the allotment for this year.

Thank you! I really enjoyed this one, easily one of my current favorites. (I know out of 100 that might not be saying much, but it seems like a top tier IPA from other reviewers as well).

I know, I have seen some people on here with 2,000+ beers rated/reviewed and realized that I haven't even made a dent! While I didn't really go that far out of my way to celebrate 100 (didn't plan it out really, but figured why not make it a bit special), it was pretty cool to me just because there are some people that don't even reach 100 different beers in a lifetime! Obviously they are not beer advocates, but it was kind of like I had arrived. I am looking forward to reaching those 1,000 and 2,000 milestones like I have seen some people hit.

Haha! Not many people can say that was their milestone beer I bet! That is awesome!

That is the next one I am looking for actually. I am hoping it is just as good if not better, mainly because it is a year round brew I believe. The TIPA is currently only a 4 month run, which really stinks when it is a beer you love. I have tried several Schlafly brews, but the American IPA has so far alluded me.

Congrats to you as well on the milestone! Bummer that it ended up being kind of lackluster, but maybe plot something special for the next one. Either way, way to go on the first 100!

    Congrats on the 100th review.

A real significant one for me was hitting 1,000 reviews. I had a Goose Island "Bourbon County Brand Barleywine Ale", which was delicious. I thought at the time I might ease up on reviewing each new beer but that didn't happen as I'm now at 1,297. There have been some extraordinary beers along the way. It's a fun hobby.
