Bourbon County MA

I'm heading out shortly to hunt around the Springfield area. It sounds like some of these stores released early, but I'll report back. Good luck today all, especially those braving the lines at Kappy's.

 

Vanilla already gone.

 

Yea that's lame. I suppose if I'm gonna get it I'll get it, if not I won't. Pemberton Farms.

 

Limit of 2 at kappys. No vanilla left. Coffee looks scarce. Good luck everyone!

 

anyone hearing anything ? Locations/prices/limits ??

 

Got there at 5:45 figuring an hour before recommended time would be plenty. Was probably the 40th-ish person in line, the first 200 people were going to get coffee and breakfast, so I was feeling like I had some vanilla yum in my near future.

A little over 2 hours later, one delicious donut, no coffee and two fewer toes due to frostbite, get to the front of the line, no bombers.

I'm not so much let down that they ran out as much as I am that I feel like I was led to believe that there would be enough to go around. They couldn't have had more than a case or two of the vanilla, and the GI promoters that were there likely knew this and knew that only a small fraction of the people in line would have stayed if they known what was on supply.

As a wildly speculative side note, the brand stout is down to 13.8% abv, I get the feeling AB is forcing GI to increase margins by reducing grain costs.

Regular at Liquor World in Porter square. $6.45 bottle. Just grabbed some at 9:45.

 

Probably explains the mold issue.

Got coffee at seekomk Yankee, still hunting vanilla

 

Got a four pack of regular and bw at Blanchards west Roxbury a around 1045. They were not on the floor, had to ask the bud guy that was putting up displays. 24 for each four pack.

 

How I sought out beer today:

Wife and daughter took the car & went shopping with sisters and grandma. The house was silent for the first time in a long time so I sat and drank coffee and napped with the dog. Oh well. Cheers! It's "Buy Nothing and Drink Barleywine Day"
