Gotta disagree, had '14 on tap and was amazing. Different, but still amazing.

Maybe they had a bad batch in SF. Everyone I was with agreed. We are all very familiar with BCBS from years past. Sub-par.

Then take the extra profit ( which is gonna be a very large margin now), and 1/3 production again, and the same each year, and then soon we will be swimming on it, I hope:wink:

So, I'm sure this was mentioned somewhere else in this thread, but did they reduce production of Coffee this year? I'm hearing today from multiple places that CT received none.

No idea on this, but all my regulars have gold foil lettering on the caps, while coffee and barleywine do not. Last year Barleywine was the one with the gold foil caps.

    No clue though.

Went around to several ABC's and Total Wine's here in S.FL. All sold out in minutes . Did score some BCBS a few days earlier though.

Haven't had regular yet, but Barleywine I am currently drinking does not have the rich chocolate notes of last year (note: just had a 2013 last week).

Coffee was spot on though just like last year.

Seeing as a lot of the companies in my field of work prefer to pay for labor in east Asia instead of in the US, I'm not counting on any other breweries looking for our services.

I look sooo forward to BCBS every year. So friggin' solid, and to have such a great Impy Stout in a 12 oz format...It's just sooo right.

Prices here at a whole foods were $22 each per four pack and $22 for a bomber of vanilla rye.

At least you got Vanilla Rye! Here in NC we didn't get any. But I was able to hit three shops and score two 4-pks and two single bottles of BCBS (8 14.4% and 2 13.8%) and one single bottle of Barleywine.

We were lucky; we waited for a few hours outside early this morning for a goose island event here.

I'm confused. What does your competition using labor from overseas have to do with other breweries needing your services. Are you suggesting other breweries get your services from these other companies? If so, I'd be interested to know what it is you do for work. If they don't get your services at all, I wonder how important your services are to people interested in craft beer. Again, I'm curious.

I had my chance to grab a pair of BCBS 4-packs from a local shop, but they tried to charge me 40$ per 4-pack. NOPE!

Others ran in and greedily bought them. I like beer, but I'll just enjoy my Breakfast Stout for that price.

Mac's Speed Shop (bar) has it off menu for $14 a bottle. Apparently three cases cost them $500.

Got everything except for the Vanilla Rye (OK because I got Zombie Dust and Founders KBS instead, though). Still disappointed that I slept a little too long, though.

South Western Chicago suburbs-Got a bcbs 4 pack for $25 at one place with no lines but nothing else in way of choice at 930, but I got butt ***** at the first place I went to at 845 for a Vanilla (at least ten bucks more). I loved the bcbs I already had today, and the 2013 Rye barrel aged with berries that I had last night was the best beer I had this year, other than Square Grouper. However, I don't foresee myself jumping through hoops for a one item per person overpriced product, no matter how superior it is, again. I can go to Solemn Oath or 18th Street or another small brewer and get just as good a barrel aged stout and avoid the goddamn hassle.

By the way, goose island muddy ain't half bad either...
