I was there Friday and I'm almost positive I saw Sister cans. No idea on the canning date but would assume it's fresh being at the brewery.

As always I can count on BA forums giving great info and the real truth. Thanks all for your help!

While I sympathize with your cause, I have never, one single time, seen a person carrying a firearm inside of a QFC or Freddie's, or anywhere else in Seattle for that matter. I'm far more concerned with people who inconsiderately get into the express checkout in front of me with far more than their allotted 15 items.

Thanks to this thread for reminding me that B-Bomb day has arrived. I've been out of town and almost forgot.

As far as local recommendations go, tell or write down your preferences ( styles or specifics ) for your coworker, and any of the better bottleshops will be able to recommend/steer hm/her to the best local picks. Believe me, there are PLENTY. Try something from Exact, Pike, Georgetown, Ruebens, American, Black Raven, Snoqualmie, Airways, Elysian, Port Townsend, Sound Brewing, 7 Seas, Narrows..... Ohmygawd there's so many! And that's just the Seattle area, don't even start with Portland! Just tell the Bottleshop what you like, and ask for what's special/noteworthy. Oh, and bring money !

Don't worry. No one is. Not even people in Washington.

Rather than starting a new thread, are there any recommendation (bottle shops, restaurants, etc) for the Bellevue area, staying at the Embassy Suites in mid January. Or am I better off just getting a cab into Seattle?

For bottle shops, Malt and Vine and Whole Foods in Redmond are probably enough to keep you from having to cross the lake into Seattle.

And there's a Whole Foods in Bellevue that has a large beer selection. Unfortunately, Bellevue is seriously lacking in good beer bars ---- Taphouse Grill is simply sub-par.

Any locals interested in meeting up at Bottleworks tonight and splitting 1 or 3 of their on site bottles (definitely the '01 Lou Pepe Kriek)? BM me as I dont want to buy any of them to drink all myself and but would probably bring a couple Midwest big hitters to open with the provisioners too. Has to be very soon too as I have have to be up early as hell.

I'd love to but we were just in town for the evening. We didn't end up heading back there but you Seattle guys are crazy if those bottles are still sitting there undrank by the end of the week. All amazingly well priced whales for on site just wish I had met up with someone wanting to split a few.
