    What's hitting bottle shops soon?

Without being too sarcastic, I'm pretty sure there's currently something at every reputable bottle shop in the area that you'll be more than pleased with no matter what style you're looking for. So unless you're just looking to taste the rare, just go check out what's already on the shelves.

As far as upcoming rarer/hyped releases: Lindley Park might still be around, Bourbon County stuff came and went in 10 min, Event Horizon should be coming out any time now, French Toast Wake n Bake should be around, Lonerider Pistols at Dawn is a delicious local seasonal (and in 16 oz cans this year!), the Triangle gets Alesmith's regular stuff, and not sure about the Triangle, but I've seen Crooked Stave around the state lately too. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the posts - I understand I can simply walk in to a local bottle shop and browse and likely find something great...

I started this thread to promote discussion on upcoming releases in the triangle area...trying to find out when limited releases are going to hit shelves before they do and which bottle shops in the area have stock in hard to get beers.

I am definitely interested in French Toast WnB...Olde Hickory Event Horizon...will NC get Avery Tweak or Evil Twin Extremely Angry Beast?

    Thanks!

That's Clown Shoes, not Evil Twin. And NC won't get Tweak, ABV is higher than 15%.

Sorry my fault - I knew it was clown shoes...

Is this French toast WnB coming before Xmas?

I'm hearing different releases for event horizon - one bottle shop said a December release and another said January? Do you all know of anything more concrete?

Also I have a bottle of lindley park for trade if anyone is interested.

    Thanks!

It seems like Olde Hickory is doing the last minute announcement thing this year, which I'm okay with, but we probably wont know an official date until a couple days in advance, or whenever OH posts a picture of them bottling on social media.

French Toast WnB is definitely already on shelves in other parts of the state (western NC I know), so the Triangle should have some if it's not already gone!

Anyone know of any second wave of BCBS making rounds? Also curious has anyone ever seen this beer in a grocery store such as Harris teeter? I know allocation is to some degree based on goose island beer sales...thanks!

Haven't heard of a 2nd round persay, but I know that North Street released "a small amount" of it on Wednesday and probably has more that they'll release at some point in the near future. I can't imagine what they're charging for it per bottle though, that place is high.

I've wondered about the grocery store thing, I know that Whole Foods gets KBS but I don't know about BCBS. I doubt Harris Teeter would get it though.

I went to Whole Foods on Black Friday and the guy stocking wine looked at me like I was crazy...I did notice that this Whole Foods (Wade Ave) has seriously cut back on their beer stock.

Also, Harris Teeter will definitely not get any.

As for the multiple rounds like last year, it is impossible to predict without some inside info from GI or the local distros. My guess is that given the expanded distro territory for this year, we may have seen all that we will get. This is a bummer, given the relatively substantial amount of coffee and bw we got last year.

Some HT in Charlotte got some so it really is up the store buyer.

North street bottles were $9 each (12 oz bottles)...

I guess the next semi big release in the triangle is gonna be the French toasted terrapin wake n bake...

I wish we got the vanilla rye here...

Is BCBS still really tough to get even in Chicago?

Per posts by Sam's, Shelton Brothers is back in NC. If we can see some 3F and Cantillon on NC shelves again, it would be a joyous day.

I was able to land Prop last week while in Chicago burbs. Cost me $40 but that was my offer. I believe it was running about $25 in most places. I don't feel that bad paying so much for a beer that is highly tradeable. FYI I am taking trade offers for it. BM if interested. Cheers!

    That's awesome about the prop!

French toasted wake n bake just hit this week but I doubt it's still available - was lucky to get one bottle

Anything else coming out in the near future?
