I'm a personal friend of @mnbrewery and he wanted me to let y'all know that Bitzy never fulfilled his end of the trade but that several generous BAs reached out and sent some amazing beer his way back in the day so there's no need to make him whole. He would have posted this himself but he doesn't frequent this site much anymore and forgot his password. Also, he wanted to thank everyone for the funny memories after I directed him to this thread. Oh, and he's a he, not a she; never could trust that Bitzy with even the simplest details!

OK EVERYONE I'll admit that I am in fact "Bitzy" as you all expected.

I'll first reply to Bunuelian...I actually did send her/him back beers and tracked the package to make sure it arrived. However, I never got an email back saying that it was opened and checked to make sure that all the bottles arrived safely. So if you are a friend of @mnbrewery and are telling the truth then whoever signed for the package must have not given @mnbrewery the beers (or something else out of my control occurred).

Next, if the beers that I sent weren't on par with Surly Darkness then that's a matter of the subjectivity of craft beer.

Yes King_Ranch I acted immaturely when I responded the original thread and played the victim at the time and did not act like an adult. It was my fault for taking advantage of the financial support that I was receiving from my parents at the time and using it for beer trades instead of managing it and using it for more appropriate personal needs.

The reason that I have come back with posts of defense in this thread is not because you're having fun with the old thread or that I want to defend my complete lack of maturity (which from an outsider's perspective could be seen as funny) when dealing with the trade in question, but because you're digging into my new blog and personal Facebook account in order to find new ways to poke fun at me. If I went on after the "trade gone wrong" and committed similar crimes against the beer community then I could see why all those who have joined in on this current thread would feel tempted to bash me in the way/s that you have done so, but I haven't traded in the years since with anyone on BA or taken advantage of anyone that I've traded with since then and made them wait a long time to receive my end of the trade. In the end it's your choice to proceed as you wish.

Therefore, if you don't like my current blog's content and or my perspective on craft beer and homebrewing in general then you don't have to watch or read it. There are tons of amazing beer blogs out there for you to follow etc.

    Cheers!

This thread has come full circle. So, bitzy, your stance on what happened hasn't changed much and you've learned nothing? Thats how i interpreted your post, please correct me if im wrong

My post clearly states my admission of guilt in my actions when dealing with the trade that was the subject in the thread that is being discussed in this thread and that my past actions are worthy of being ridiculed. How have I not learned anything?

If you sent the beers you agreed to send there could be no question that they were on par, since that is what your trading partner agreed to. If you sent the beers.

If I remember correctly (this trade took place quite a while ago) he/she wasn't 100% specific about the beers that he/she wanted in return. I made sure to send a good variety of beers which I personally thought were good beers. Again just like you don't have to like my new blog, I can't force you to trust me that I sent the beers.

Fair enough. Then why are people drawing from it to further bash my past actions (which I've confessed to being guilty of)?

Excuse me, @SMBLST32 /Bitzy, but my friend is, in fact, a man and I've said as much. Please stop using 'he/she' as a way to obfuscate the situation to make yourself appear to be some sort of victim of deceit on my friend's part. He never received the package/beers. Period. I know you like to add '(or something else out of my control)' at the end of your screed to absolve you of your responsibility but that's not how it works around here. Did you send him a message asking if the beer arrived? I know I do that when I keep an eye on my Fedex tracking numbers and see that a package I ship has been delivered. I'm not even going to address the second issue regarding subjective quality of your beer vs. Darkness, Wet, etc. since you're lying about sending any beer at all. Please stop trying to insinuate that my friend had anything wrong to do with his interaction with you. You stole his beer, plain and simple. Others stepped up to make up for his loss and he's grateful for that. He now works at Surly (after working at Fitger's for many years) and has done more in/for the beer community then you ever have/will. Good day, sir.

I have NEVER hoped more that somebody would "get it" more than right now and be let down so heavily. Please ban this guy once and for all.
