Does anyone know additional information about this event, such as pricing?

    Thanks for looking in advance

Usually just pay per glass. Probably 8-12 per pour. Probably will be pretty busy at opening, but last time they had a Cantillon event, I showed up a few hours later, and everything was still pouring.

yes - not the kind of thing that you need to show up early, or even on time for. and the pricing was not gouging. can't remember specifics, though, but it was fair.

Are they also selling the bottle list per bottle or just pours from those bottles?

At the Last Monk's Cantillon event (Monk's Mad Monday featuring Brasseri Cantillon), all beers were on drank and $7 from vintages of Fouf Foune and Lamvinous, for what I would guess was around 6 oz pours, I think the same glasses they used for Younger.

i would imagine it's per bottle, as the list looks like what they usually have available on the bottle menu. the prices vary, but some are pretty reasonable (for cantillon anyway).

To add that, the general policy these days is a no-takeout of Cantillon

Unfortunately I have to work late so I won't be getting there until 11:30. Hopefully you guys leave some for me. I worked during the Mad Monday event last time and surprisingly everything was still on when I got there close to midnight. The pours were smaller but reasonably priced. I'm guessing that most of the bottles will be 750ml and the same price that is usually listed in their beer bible.

I wish they were selling pours from bottles! They'd probably make more money that way if they did.

    On Draft
    1. Cantillon Classic Gueuze (a blend of 3 yr old, 2yr old & 1 yr old lambics)
    2. Cantillon Fou Foune (lambic with fresh apricots)
    3. Cantillon Lou Pepe Kriek 2009 vintage (lambic with copious amounts of fresh sour cherries)
    4. Cantillon Mamouche (lambic with elderflowers)
    5. Cantillon Rose de Gambrinus (lambic with fresh raspberries)

    In Bottle
    1. Cantillon Bruocsella 1900 Grand Cru (a selected 3 yr old straight lambic)
    2. Cantillon Classic Gueuze (a blend of 3 yr old, 2yr old & 1 yr old lambics)
    3. Cantillon Lou Pepe Framboise 2005 vintage (lambic with 50% more raspberries than their Rose)
    4. Cantillon Lou Pepe Framboise 2007 (lambic with 50% more raspberries than their Rose)
    5. Cantillon Lou Pepe Kriek (lambic with 50% more sour cherries than their regular Kriek)
    6. Cantillon Mamouche (lambic with elderflowers)
    7. Cantillon Monk’s Café Gueuze (my own selection of 3 yr old, 2yr old & 1 yr old lambics)
    8. Cantillon St. Lamvinous (lambic aged in Bordeaux barrels with merlot & cabernet franc grapes )
    9. Cantillon Vigneronne (lambic with white muscat grapes)
    10. Cantillon Zwanze 2010 - Blanche de Quenast (a “white” beer aged using lambic techniques)
The Blanche de Quenast name is a little tweak at the Blanche de Bruxelles brewed by Brasserie Lefebvre in the town of Quenast. Get it? Blanche de Bruxelles is actually brewed in Quenast, so Jean brewed a white beer in Brussels and named it Blanche de Quenast. That’s typical Brussels humor.

    11. Gueuzerie Tilquin Gueuze
Pierre purchases freshly brewed lambic from De Cam, Giradin, Lindemans and Cantillon. He stores them in his own oak barrels at his Gueuzerie in Rebecq-Rognon. Pierre blends his Oude Gueuze using 3 yr old, 2 yr old & 1 yr old lambics. Pierre was kind enough to share a bottle of his latest creation, a lambic aged with a specific plum. The sample I tasted in February had just been bottled, so it did not have any carbonation yet, but it did have seductive color and aroma. The plum flavor was subtle and did not overwhelm the lambic.

If it's anything like it was for the Funky Buddha event, that isn't my idea of a good time. Crawling over the top of people in a 98 degree + room to grab a beer after standing there for over a half an hour. Good beer, no doubt, but just not a pleasurable experience enroute to getting it. Gotta pay the price for the good stuff though, so I certainly can't blame anyone participating. Enjoy the goods, folks.

Not that far off to be honest. Too many people crowding into the back room, overwhelmed two bartenders, too many people trying to jam their way past other people waiting in line as well, etc. Got one beer and bailed. The place iis too small for stuff like this.

After seeing Kris Herteleer's reaction to the patrons at Monk's De Dolle event, I wonder how crazy these brewers think we americans are.

or you can just get a table and order food, and have the waitress bring you your beers. like i do every time. stop complaining. it sickens me to see this. what other city gets the kind of beers and events that we do?

I just stayed at the front bar and drank the exact same beers. But thanks to the hundreds of people who gave me that extra elbow space.
