VBS! First time trying this, even though I have a 2013 bottle in the cellar (this is 2014)

How is it? As epic as Square Grouper? I have a few bottles in the fridge right now. It's already gone from all of my stores... I just happened to ask about it on Tuesday, got a bottle, and then immediately made the rounds to pick up a few more.

I was going to drink one tonight, but it turned out to be a stout night instead. First beer was a coffee bender from August. And now this...

A bit sweeter than I imagined, but silky smooth. My first one ever...

 

More VBS with #properglassware

The artwork on Pipeworks bottles alone would have me buy anything from them. As always with these guys, this beer sounds amazing!

 

Matt, not as good as SG, the mango kills some of those crazy dank hops. But this was still pretty damn awesome. I too picked up a few bottles just in case I had to send one to someone in the group

 

True, but what I meant is that someone besides me is likely to offer way more than me. And I won't ever ask you or twist your arm about trading that bottle, wouldn't be fair to. But if you do decide you want to trade it, that's where my ears perk up.

 

Also, VBS with #properglassware, this was a very interesting one. DFH continues to not disappoint. Couldn't believe this was 10%. Was nice and sweet with a combination honey and sweet malt flavors, so crisp and clean though that it wasn't at all like drinking a barleywine.



And since I know you folks love pr0n, I got this today from another thread, it was a can-specific BIF with one bomber as a cherry on top. In my case I got yuzu and a strawberry on top.

 

That's too bad. It's probably a good thing that you knocked my expectations down just a bit. Otherwise, there was probably no way that the beer was going to live up to my pre-conceived notion of how awesome it should be...

The label is pretty damn cool though. Probably my favorite yet...

(By the way, the Nelson was fantastic. Leaps and bounds better than the Citra IMO.)

 

Didn't even realize it, but just got the Karma points. Appropriate choice for my 100th unique beer on BA. (I still can't get myself to use unTapped). Just checked, and the 100 beers have been consumed since 10/1... Don't tell my wife.

 

That's pretty awesome. For my 1000th I used Westvleteren XII on Untappd, and Cantillon Zwanze beer on BA. On BA my 100th was just one of the few hundred I was transcribing over from Untappd but my 100th Untappd was not at all planned... Saranac Octoberfest, and the number of days from starting Untappd to my checkin to that was very close to the number of days from 10/1 to now. Wait till it's been a year and you're approaching 1000.
