What store was this? How did people know to ask for them?

as this thread suggests we are having a hard time taking care of our closest NJ neighbors.
philosophically we consider NYC and Philly part of community so we work to get our beers to each and get a good feel for the candid, homer-free feedback special to each of the areas. that being said our primary focus is on NJ and we have nowhere near enough yet. as we grow, our distribution outside NJ should grow incrementally, but we are a couple phases of growth away from pushing further than we already have.

@augiecarton I was so stoked to see your coffee IPA at Covenhoven in Brooklyn around a month ago. Absolutely fantastic beer that I was pleasantly surprised to see at my local craft bar. Hoping you'll be able to send more of your offerings this way soon!

Non-Homer beer store manager in Westchester NY, Everything I put anything of yours on fills I get fantastic reviews from the people that are introduced to it. Every person that doesn't drink dark beers because "they're heavy and too bitter for me" always buy Milk when I let them try it.
Just throwing my two cents in on that.
On Subject, I absolutely cannot wait til production can supply cans of anything out to my area of NY and I'm positive they'll absolutely crush. Especially Boat.

Not south jersey, but when I was home for thanksgiving I stopped by the Canal's in lawrenceville and they had dub in the growler station. I got a 64 and 32 Oz thinking others in my family might want it and apparently I was mistaken and I'm the only one who likes delicious beer in my family. My dad thought it was too bitter, but this was coming from a man who loves Heineken which is terribly bitter and sour and not in a good way.

Roger Wilco in Pennsauken has growler fills every now and then and it shows up on draft at the Irish Mile in Westmont frequently.

Someone brought it to our attention this weekend that Gallo’s Liquors in Rochelle Park NJ was selling our beers warm on shelves. The most surprising part of this for us was that Gallo’s was selling our beers; they are not an account of ours. The beers were obtained outside our supply lines and were not being properly treated. Without getting into all the philosophical aspects of bootlegging we simply want to thank the community for looking after the way people take care of our liquid.

The retail accounts we have partnered with so far (the ones listed on our site) have all committed to receiving the beer cold, storing it cold, and offering it to all equally at a reasonable mark up. We are very proud of the program so far, enough that we are working on growing it. In the meantime please continue to keep us aware of times you experience is outside these parameters.

I've bought boat at other stores, but I generally try to get to Atlantic Highlands every 6-8 weeks to stock my fridge.

Headed back to Hamilton for the holidays. Learned from this thread that the Lawrenceville Canals fills growlers, which I never knew.

Would love to avoid the drive to Atlantic highlands to get fresh 077xx, which Canals says they currently have available via growler

    My questions.....

    a) does Canals keep their website up-to-date re current growler options? They appear to say on website that its updated daily
    b) I don't see details @ the bottle club. Is it worth it?

Are you talking about Hamilton Township (didn't know it was also called just Hamilton)? If so, Passion Vines in Somers Point carries Boat and O-Dub.

a-they're pretty up to date, but it doesn't hurt to check, you could "just" miss something.

b-totally worth it. Free. basically gets you on an email list. but the discounts are worth it. here's what they say on the site:

thanks. Turns out the Canals page wasn't exactly up-to-date, but they do still have 077

I guess it's tougher to update a website on an almost-daily basis, which is why many places probably now have both a FB and web(site) presence

I got 4 packs of Boat and 077XX at Joe Canals in Woodbridge last night. Several of them stored nice and cold in the cooler. Happy to see them there. I don't get down to the brewery often. I was also able to get Epitome cans there a few weeks ago as well. Love Joe Canals and between the bottle club and NJ Craft beer card I get great discounts.

Slightly off topic but I also got growler fills of Kane Head High and Overhead. Now if Kane would also get on the canning express...

I had my first O-Dub last night (my mom brought them to me from Passion Vines in Somers Point). Fantastic beer. Dank and bitter. Reminded me of a more flavorful SN Hoptimum.
