Agreed,SoS distro. in CT. could only mean extra revenue for Lawson's.I'm sure their won't be too many complaints if he turns some of that extra cash into other interesting beers.

    Cheers

He also hints that he will be expanding other distro so maybe he is really going to blow it up and get this beer out there. Maybe make everyone happy! (of course, I know that will never happen, but maybe make a whole lot more people happy anyway...)

Wouldn't they not have a distributor listed under the label details then?

    example:

it's not exactly a huge state, and if they're living there they probably have a car. so...

i mean, if we can manage to get lawson's and heady and such the few times we take a trip to VT in a year, i'm sure random outskirts VT beer fan can score some desirable beer if they put their mind to it.

Those counties wont get the shaft they'll just have different distributors since HDI doesnt distribute in those two counties. Happens quite often in this state where different counties have different distributors for the same product.

Agreed about regional distribution in CT. Would also be odd (I think, but who knows) to not distribute to the county its brewed in and the county next closest to the brewery, but hit the rest of the state.

Looks like Lawson's Super Session #2 is being brewed and kegged at Two Roads. The keg labels are TTB approved, but if they make the same size batch, there's no way VT is going to get all of those kegs. If all of the kegs go to VT, then he could send them to nearly ever pub in the state or just have half the pubs in the state have it on tap for the next few months.

Does anyone know if you need to get CT approved for keg labels if you're already approved as an "out of state shipper beer"? I see Lawson's SoS label approved by CT and LFL approved as "out of state shipper beer", but unsure about kegs.

In CT you only register your brand once, regardless of how/what you sell it in. Fed/TTB you have to get a COLA for every label (keg, bottle, etc).

I'm seeing other CT pubs slowly announce/leak that they'll have SoS too. I'm betting a good portion of the kegs will be flowing into CT later this week. I saw someone say they'll have it on tap either today or this week, but don't remember where I saw that at. Eli Cannon's said they are having a dedicated tapline just for SoS and will have consistent supply to keep it on tap.

Not much of a fan, eh? They've had some good beer events lately, like the NEBCO night in October where they had Zapata Bot, Attempted Redrum, Bourbon aged Imperial Stout and others.

Eli's is one of my regular stops so this is great news. And a dedicated line, that's just wonderful!

Lawson's official post and info. Also says increasing number of retail outlets in VT. Talks about CT distribution.

    http://www.lawsonsfinest.com/our-beer/lawsons-finest-distribution-coming-ct-locations-vt-new-cans/

In Vermont, Lawson’s Finest will add retail accounts within the current distribution territory of the Mad River Valley, Montpelier,Waterbury and the greater Burlington area with deliveries starting on December 18th.

In Connecticut, Sip of Sunshine IPA will begin to be available in draft at select locations around December 12th, with the 16 oz. cans to follow in limited quantities throughout the state in future weeks

On Saturday, December 27th from 12-3pm, Two Roads Brewing will host a “Meet the Brewer” event at their brewery tasting room in Stratford, CT, with both Sip of Sunshine IPA and Super Session #2 on draft.

Look for Sean at two events on Monday evening, December 29th, starting at 5pm at Eli Cannon’s in Middletown, CT and at 7pm at McLadden’s in West Hartford
