    Tapping at Crunchy's in Lansing @ 11 and Taps25 at 4PM.

Word is that it will be landing at the Founders Taproom soon.

I honestly hope they don't bottle it and just tap kegs all over Michigan for a year. The chase would be mind numbing.

It's pretty safe to assume most bars serving Founders will get at least one sixtel. The bigger question is if they will just tap it or hang on to it until they have some special event or Founders takeover. While I hope for the former, history would indicate we'll probably see more of the latter.

bigger question for me is will it see distribution outside of Michigan. But I really like the idea of a draft only release. I think more breweries should do that with some of these whalezbro.

When I was at the Founders Breakfast Stout Breakfast, many people behind the bar said they'd never make it again because the bottle neck is the maple syrup barrels and CBS would have to fill their distribution. This didn't make any sense to me for a few reasons... You can have pub only releases. You can have select draft availability (like this). And if Founders was ever hurting for money, you can bet your life that we'd see more CBS and CBS variants than we could imagine.

breweries dont make their money off of barrel aged offerings. a lot of cost goes into that.

There will be kegs outside of MI, but no clue exactly where. Reason I know is a bar in Iowa City will be tapping a keg they got on Friday.

So Founder, Goose Island, and countless others spend a ton on their barrel program and don't make money off the very expensive bottles we line up around the block for?

they make money sure. but they make way more money off of Centennial and All Day. look at KBS for instance...you have the ingredients and brewing time, cost of barrels, packaging, a year taking up space that could be used to brew beer that can be brewed and sold numerous times over that year, and also a year to get any of your money back from when you started.

Well, CBS is already a variant of the breakfast stout, so you want a variant of a variant.....mind. blown.
