Brutal storm and wind yesterday. Glad it wasn't snow, although some of the rain found its way into my basement.
'Tis the season for barleywines. This is a good one.
    Cheers!

Finally trying the "other half" of the Black Note combo...

This is one good, but won't be a staple. I like Expedition Stout better (the other part of Black Note), and of course, Black Note is the real deal.

Homebrew. Kern River Citra DIPA clone. It's stellar.

How is that holding up after 2 weeks? I wish you could have had it a day or so old, but a great beer none the less!!!

    G'day BA!

2009 Bigfoot in my glass. Less hoppy, more malty, oxidation is on the rise. Very tasty.

Was that growler filled two weeks ago, if not call my cynical. I highly doubt you can tell the difference between a beer brewed 48hrs before it was brewed or two weeks after it was brewed

Double Bastard today - much better than yesterday's Arrogant Bastard, IMHO. Dunno man - for me Stone appears pretty mediocre overall - maybe it's the filtration rate into western PA that gives us old stock or maybe it boils while being transported across the US in unrefridgerated 18-wheelers - I've rated 7/12 meh or lower and only 2/12 as good.

Oh contrary Mont Freire you can taste the difference in a beer after 2 to 3 days no doubt if it's in a growler.

I'm not taking a shot at you I'm just stating that I notice it's lost some luster after a few days yet alone 2 weeks!! I also hope you get it fresher next time so you can be the judge!!

    Cheers JO

Not bad, not exceptional though either. Has a very floral taste to it, definitely different. Cheers!
