CBS is back

Im betting Ale Marys will have it for their New years party but no definitive word on that...just my speculation as they are hinting they have some big releases.

 

Look at BA getting all Cleveland on Founders....

 

It appears this is confirmation that backstage series beers are indeed planned for rerelease if they were popular enough, which means most will definitely be rereleased (sorry Dissenter, we didn't like you).

 

Can anyone confirm or deny if this will be at WOB in Tosa tomorrow for their tap takeover?

 

It was all over lansing tonight. And it was amazing. Everything I hoped it would be. Crunchys is out, hopcat had some as of 7pm, soup spoon still had some as of 8pm. I am not sure if tap 25 still has any.

 

Based on the timing of the most recent FB post it sounds like this could be true. I'm sure OEBs, BFD, Slow's are likely candidates as well in SE MI.

 

For all the other FIBS, there will be a few (5 was the number I heard) kegs of this hitting the Chicago area. Now who is getting them is another story, but it will be available without leaving the state.

 

Ashleys in Westland was selling 2013 BCBS for $17 for 8oz....2014 for $11.50, and BCBW for $8.75

 

I appreciate that too and am hoping another half dozen or so places in Ann Arbor will be getting a keg. I love Ashley's but I stood in an hour-long line to get seated for BCBS night on a Tuesday... and that was with like half a dozen parties in front of us. An even tougher beer on a Saturday? Can't even imagine that wait.

Ale Mary's in downtown Royal Oak is having a NYE party or whatever and are tapping 6 "rare" beers. BCBS and 120 Minute have been revealed and the rest are secret. FB Event post said they "just scored something BIG". I'm betting it's CBS.

Yeah, that worries me too. Seems like there's always a wait at Ashley's, and for weekday special releases it regularly exceeds an hour.

 

Agreed, I was standing out in the cold there that night as well. I can't wait for hopcat and beer grotto to open to give a little competition to Ashely's.

 

If you don't mind me asking, what bar in Iowa City? I heard a rumor that a place will sell growlers of it also.

 

Not sure what you mean by "we", but that was a damn fine Imperial Lager (rated 92 on this site). The fact that it was overpriced is what turned people off.

LOL @ their FB posts. They drop the word 'rare' so many times about beers that aren't that 'rare' (i.e. DFH 120min and BCS) that it was quite a fun page to follow and laugh at.

 

Never had CBS. Since it appears that FBS is the base, is the taste as coffee forward as FBS?
