According to current BA rankings -- highest to lowest in descending order -- my tasting may go in this order. Too many high ABV offerings to open them all in one sitting? Move anything up or down? See any challenges along the way? Obviously, palate fatigue and being too drunk to care about the DL are legitimate concerns.

    Proprietor's 2013
    BCBCS 2013
    CBS
    Assassin 2013
    KBS 2013
    Parabola 2014
    Hunaphu's 2014
    Black Note 2014
    Beyond Good and Evil
    BBPt5
    Abyss
    Darkness
    Pt5
    DL 2013

    Thanks!

I'd go from most complex to the least complex so you're not trying to detect certain flavors on an exhausted palate. Especially if you are planning on drinking all in one night. So I'd probably start with hunahpu, then abyss, then prop then BG&E as my first 4. The others can be drunk in whatever order I think.

    Standing might be a challenge.

If I were attending this tasting I would accept that challenge

That's quite a list. To avoid palate wreck maybe two separate tastings? Better question is how is this getting spread out?

Appreciate the feedback. I'm a hop head, so tasting in this category is new to me. Was wondering if this lineup was even possible. Sounds like it's going to take a few sessions. Thanks!

@cincysig It would help if we knew how many people were attending.

Personally, I would break it down to either different sessions or at least have a pizza in between the two beer groups:

    Prop
    Coffee 2013
    KBS 2013
    Pt5
    BB Pt5
    Parabola
    Black Note

    Huna
    DL
    Abyss
    Darkness
    Assassin
    CBS
    BG&E

(Not in any tasting order, just how I would group them. There are 7 in each.)

I've never been to a dedicated beer style share, i.e. big BA stouts, but I've definitely been to shares that have had more beers than that and a small amount of people (5).

Looks like an awesome tasting. I would take it slow or break it up into two sessions and hopefully you have a decent amount of people..

    How many people? all depends...

The problem with more bottles and more friends, is that there is less to taste/share, and you can't always open everything.

Find the happy medium I say...

The number of people and amount of time is still in flux and will be until people show up. All of this feedback -- minus the hijack -- is helpful. OK...even the hijack got me thinking about things differently.

Haha, very sorry for the hijacking! I was going to start a new thread but saw this one. I'll delete my post
