Prairie Apple Brandy Noir

uh.. YEAH!

 

Yet another amazing-sounding beer outside my distribution footprint. I really wish there were more apple brandy/calvados and pear brandy beers.

 

I've never had a bad Noir or any of the variants, so I'm looking forward to this very much.

 

I can say with absolute certainty that I thought Vanilla > Wine Barrel > Noir. I'm still kind of put off that Prairie only released Coffee Noir in Texas because I would've loved to see what the espresso added to the base Noir.

If this is as good as Wine Barrel (which I love given that's my favorite substyle), then I'll be very ISO.

 

I drank a vanilla Noir last night that was just destroyed by Brett. It was utterly awful, but supposedly that beer is well known to be sour. That said, Noir is probably fantastic, I just hope they don't mess it up this time

 

Recently it seems they've managed to get rid of the infection issues, but the overall quality of the Bomb! series has dropped off.

 

We need more Prairie beers here in Northern Kentucky. Please send them to me and I'll make sure they get distributed.

 

Can't wait for this! Hopefully we get it in Florida. We did get Christmas Bomb, Pirate Bomb and some others recently.

 

I hate everyone that has access to Prairie, this sounds awesome.

I've never had a Noir that wasn't infected. I contacted the brewery and they responded promptly, so they're at least aware of it.

 

I've had vanilla and coffe noir and both were horrendous. They tasted like I was chewing on a burnt match. Fool me three times? I don't think so.
