I think you're being sarcastic but I've had this beer and it most certainly isn't another Jester King saison. I would classify it as a sour. There is more lacto presence in this than the new batches of Wytchmaker and Noble King but not as much as RU55. It's a special beer and as the blog post stated, takes more time to ferment than some of the other beers.

Fantome also has a 2 beers with the word "Ambrée" in them. COINCIDENCE?! (or just, ya know, the word for "Amber" in French, lol)

I saw this on their beer menu for the weekend and didn't recognize it. Going on Saturday so can't wait to try some.

The "test batch" I had was basically RU55 with no barrel and was less tart.

Is that a good or bad thing?

I was trying to more accurately describe it without labeling it as good or bad. If you want my opinion, I thought it was pretty good.

I read that whole post thinking it was odd that they wrote up a long thing about a B2 of a beer. I even read it as they would have it at the Austin Beer Guide party next week (which, oddly, is happening again at the same place).

    Oh well.

Any word on price and limits? Saw it listed by the glass, but not on the to go list.

Can anyone remember a time when JK had 12 different beers of their own for sale at once? I imagine the traffic out there has been a little down the last few weeks without a fruited sour for sale.

I predict that this is something that will be a pattern during the course of the year (lots of farmhouse ales available in late fall). Our brewing has been focused on stainless steel fermented farmhouse ales during the warm months of the year. As a result, we currently have quite a few available. Now that the weather is cooling off, we'll spend the next three or four months focusing on spontaneously fermented and barrel aged beers. Our supply of stainless steel fermented farmhouse ales, which depend on warm temperatures for fermentation, will dwindle during this time period. In other words, I expect that late fall will continue to be the time of year when we have a large number of different beers available. - Jeff
