    LOL stick with known traders you've dealt with before or they ship first, problem solved. This place is starting to be asshole central, tis the season with a lot of Ltd stuff out.

    Alright...

    First off, I was not trying to "tease" anyone sorry if it felt that way.

    Second off, I certainly disagree that because I waited and gave the late trader until 11am to respond (as I told him I would in my final e-mail) that does not make me as bad as the trader. You guys are killing me.

    Lastly, I just received a response from him @10:16am. There was a grandparent's funeral in his family and apparently he completely forgot about the trade. I certainly will not be giving the most positive feedback in the world as it took me threatening to shame him at 11am and writing him 6 messages until he finally returned an e-mail, but it looks like I will be getting the Assassin after all. If the trade goes south again I will inform the BA community.

    Thank you all for your input. Also thank you for your support as I think it helped get this done.

    If you're implying I faked a bad trader thread than you are wildly mistaken. I have two other Assassin's and I was trading one of them because I thought another was coming in, which hopefully it is now.

    I will let anyone know who the trader is if they PM me, but at this point I told the guy I would not shame him if he just sent me my damn beer so i'm going to stick to my word.

    Given that good, decent BAs were offering to make whole all of the ripped off traders by sending them Assassin bottles it occurred to me that the opportunity had arisen for exploitative types to emerge and claim they'd been ripped off too, in hopes of scoring a free bottle on the back of someone's generosity.

    The OPs post conveniently emerging on the tail end of the lengthy leazk thread made me immediately skeptical. Now, OP, I'm not accusing, but I do agree with others that by not outing the guy and given these other circumstances, it put you in a questionable light. Sorry if that's unfair, but I think it's reasonable to be cautious of those claiming they got scammed right now.

    I can confirm the OP has another Assassin as I'm the one who just traded it to him last week. Perfectly normal to take something you just got in and try to 'trade up' to a harder to get bottle. I just did it myself to try to land BVDL and DB Damon.

    Good lord I'm starting to question the people who monitor these bad trader threads like its their job, then place improper blame. It's guilty before proven innocent in here now a days.

    "Somebody faked an assassin!!! Everybody's a bad trader but meeeeeeee!!!"

    Wow, I never thought I would be accused of "faking a bad trade" and "attempting to score a bottle off of someone's generosity" all in the same day.

    I have done two BIF's in the last few months alone on my instagram account just to guys looking for beers they didn't have. Ask @beersnobbin or @wiltznucs. One received a Dark Harvest and the other a Black Butte XXVI just because they were looking for them with no strings attached.

    I normally stay off the forums unless it's FT: and now I know why. All I was trying to do was put some pressure on the guy that if he didn't get in touch with me that there would be repercussions. I think having a bunch of people calling for his head was a decent strategy. Now I haven't got the beer in my hand yet, but so far it seems like it has worked and the guy is sending me the beer. I also mentioned anyone that PM'ed me I would let them know who it was, but I haven't got any PM's so apparently it's not that big of a deal to you.

    I really am not interested in trading with people that would accuse me of faking bad trades instead of being happy for me that hopefully my situation is worked out anyways.

    Just my 2 cents.

    @cdJensen all snark aside, the barbs aimed at you come down to...communication.

    You put up a 'vague possible bad trader' & then watch it closely while people call on you for more info on a guy who might possibly be ripping off other people, while not bothering to respond.

    When the questions started, a simple "Hey guys, I gave him until 11AM to respond, I'll update the thread then" would have instantly stifled any sniping.

    Communication. Communication. Communication. Communication.

    Hope you get your Assassin.

    Communication? Jesus Christ dude the guy posted this thread last night at 11:30pm. It was all but about 12 hours before people somehow started thinking he was faking a bad trader thread? losing faith in people.
