Isn't that the natural reaction? Why would anyone's first thought be "oh, the distributors screwed up"?

 

The point I was trying to make is there were people accusing the brewery (on social media) of trying to gouge people at the release, hence me using the term "screw them." There definitely was a disconnect between the brewery and the distributors.

 

To be fair, one of the "more expensive" stores in the area had it for $17.99/4-pack. Thought it was a bit crazy when I read about purchases of $25 from the brewery. Just don't seem right.

 

No you singled me out as "the individual" who implied possible hosing and started spinning this to make me look like a dick for posing the question. I appreciate the level headed responses guys, thanks.

 

They just confirmed on facebook that the pricing was an error but that everyone should take advantage of it. Can we go back to drinking beer now?

Funny how when you read my entire statement, you see it's a question. No where in my post do I specifically say "Brewery Vivant hosed people by overcharging them at the brewery" so drop it. I'm done here.

 

Picked up a 4-pack last night at Binny's in Orland Park, IL for $27.99.

I'm a big Vivant fan, so I'm really looking forward to this one...

I haven't tried Wizard Burial Ground, but I have noticed the 3-4 beers of theirs that I have tried all have a slightly sour taste.

 

Depending on which beers that you are talking about, the sourness may be intentional. Some of Vivant's beers are in the sour category.

I know a couple of them were saisons, which is not a style I'm too familiar with but I have had slightly sour and non-sour ones.

Thanks for the Info! I just looked at a can of Hubris in my cellar and the label says it's 11.5% abv, Wizard Burial Ground is 10.4%abv, I wonder why the non BA version is stronger.
