I tried Xocoveza, Gingerbread stout, and Bomb in fairly recent times and something i really loved about al of them was the cinnamon, how does everyone else feel about this flavor? are there other great beers feeaturing this spice that you would recommend? Excluding Pumpkin beers, which i hate. cheers

I enjoy cinnamon, but not the other stuff in the pumpkin beers (nutmeg and such). You do need to be careful though, as I've had some cinnamon beers that come off medicinal like cough syrup, too. I even got a little bit of that with the most recent Proprietor's release the other day.

Hunahpu and Abraxas are tops, with Mexican Cake sitting right behind it. The barrel aged versions are incredible if you can get your hand son them (though, I wouldn't recommend Cali Brandy Hunahpu, as all the spice is gone from that). If you go with Hunahpu, make sure to get a 2014 bottle as this year's was very forward with the cinnamon and was great. Last year's was delicious, but was largely just chocolate sauce flavor, without the hit of pepper or cinnamon that you're supposed to get from the beer.

Bitches Bank from 18th Street Brewery is very cinnamon-forward IMO.

Wouldn't it be nice if Stone released a batch of Xocovesa at least every year?

It's interesting that you hate pumpkin beers. In my opinion, 90% of pumpkin beers are overloaded with cinnamon. Which leads me to believe you do however share the same opinion I do, which is that the "fall" or "pumpkin beer spices" work better when the beer is dark, like a porter or stout. Pumpkin beers don't taste like pumpkin, because pumpkin doesn't taste like anything. Roasted grains, higher abv, and sweetness bring out the best in those "fall/pumpkin beer" spices. Ever tried cinnamon or nutmeg on their own? They taste like shit. Add in some sugar and they compliment each other quite well. Terrapin Imperial Pumpkin Stout was decent and I imagine their WnB Cinnamon Rolled Stout is up your alley.

Huna all day long (I wish). Get any and every version possible. Abraxas is really good also.

Have you considered "gingerbread" stouts? They range from the widely available, yet good Samuel Adams Merry Maker to the sought after and exceptional Hardywood Gingerbread Stout.

Just did this with a bourbon county the other day. Espresso beans, chocolate, vanilla and a cinnamon stick. Let cold steep in bottle for about 3 hours. Fantastic...

oddside Mayan Mocha and BB Mayan Mocha. Another was Short's Cinabilly which was a cinnamon dopplebock, it was a cinnamon bomb and honestly got bad reviews because it was overwhelmingly cinnamon and not everyone likes cinnamon which is why I find it that so many people complained that this beer tasted too much like cinnamon. What the hell do you expect with a name like cinnabilly?!

Actually really enjoyed Cinnamon coffee Bbomb from Fremont recently. I don't know what coffee is doing in a barleywine, but the cinnamon was a nice addition.
