Anyone know when this will be available? Also, anything that you can compare it to if you have had it?

It's like the rich man's BCBS.

Does that mean you believe it to be superior?

It's amazing. The 3 batches have all come out some time between Feb-June. A buddy swears that batch one or two tastes like Assassin, but I've yet to try it. Avery is the best at making 16-18% beers taste like they're 11%. Seek out some Uncle Jake if you haven't had it.

I only had it once. $18 for a 12 oz. bottle. Worth every penny.

Is it better than BCBS? Well it's certainly the closest beer I've come across that can give BCBS a run for its money.

If you can get your hands on it, by all means do so.

Last years was fantastic! Edged right past BCBS for me.

It's hard to top BCBS, so I wouldn't call it superior, they're both exceptionally tasty. But Avery will cost you minimum $12 a 12 ounce bottle while BCBS can be got as cheap as $18 for four 12 ounce bottles. Thus why I call it the rich man's BCBS.

Personally myself, BCBS is overrated aside from its barley wine counterpart. I enjoy Central Waters BA stout a hell of a lot more. I'm interested to see if this really tastes like Assassin from TG though, one of my personal favs.

Wish I would have grabbed more of them last year, just opened one up from the cellar last week and it was fantastic.

I saw it here in Chicago a few days ago; dunno how disty is for you in Wisconsin, but I would guess you should have it
    soon.

I was curious to try it (more so now that I've seen others praise it), but I'm having a lot of trouble getting past the price tag (which I think was like $15 for a 12 oz. bottle). At that point I would probably just stick to Central Waters BA stout, BCBS, etc.

Its my BCBS killer. Wish I still lived in Boulder, the markup from $12 to $16 kind of bothers me.

You saw 2014 which was released in Feb-March (I think). 2015 should be released the same time frame.

It's a fantastic beer. I've bought 1-2 cases of it each of the years it's come out. And I won't hesitate to do the same when it's released in a couple months. FWIW, '12 is still drinking great.

Ah, it was in a mom and pop shop, so that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!

Its an incredible beer....at an incredible price.
The only one of their barrel aged series that I will actively seek out again, considering the price.
