What is the best way to report a bad trader? Start a new post and include the trader's name, or something else?

I've seen a few different ways, but I am not sure what is either standard or the most recent format.

    Thanks for the help.

Explain the details of what transpired, and tag the name of the trader you're referencing so they have an opportunity to tell their side of the story.

The standard recent format is that people post something vague that does not detail the trade or the person that fucked up.

This is usually followed by people wanting to know the details so they themselves do not get fucked over.

If you are concerned enough to post about it here, give the details.

Post what happened as detailed as possible, what transpired, with a timeline including how long it has been, if you're out of any beer, whether or not you used the trade system, whether or not you got email and phone number and have you reached out using those means in addition to using the private message system here, are there any indications that the trader in question is active by looking at his profile and see if he has read your private message, etc., we will help you along.

Before tagging, I'd give the trader a fair warning on outing him/her on the thread, giving him a "last chance" with a 12-24 hour deadline depending on how bad the situation is.

Thanks for the responses. I'm going to give the trader another "last" attempt to make communication with me.

After months and many unanswered messages, everything has been resolved.
    Thanks for advice.

Curious, was the threat of outing involved? Really glad it worked out, but months?

@jlee185 please BM me the traders name. If its been months with no communication, this is definitely someone I don't want to trade with. Thanks in advance.

Even if you don't want to out the person, I'm interested in the details of what happened

Yes, there was threat of outing involved.

There appears to have been some type of personal (family) incident involved right after I sent my box. 4-5 messages were sent, over a month or so, without hearing a single word. The trader then responded, apologized and promised that the box would be sent the next day. I responded that the trader needn't worry: life happens unexpectedly, beer and beer trading can wait. Another month went by with no word. I sent multiple messages to no avail. Finally, after another month or more, I threatened to out him. After a few "last" attempts, I received an apology and a tracking number.

Well... you have posted your report of a bad trader in both the "standard or the most recent format" perfectly.

Would be nice to tell everyone who this is since they were willing to jerk you around until being threatened to a call out.
What makes you think they would not roll the dice again if they have a little bit of "life happen"?

It's amazing that anyone trades considering how often lately these bad life situations happen almost immediately after receiving a box of beer.

Since there was a trade request and both accepted (if I understood correctly) once you get your box, this does NOT deserve a good trade....It should be put in as just OKAY as there were a bunch of problems..If its put in as good, all it does is possibly screw the community down the line...with that said, im glad your getting your box

Speaking of bad life situations, its becoming apparent that it is dangerous to be a trader or family/close friends of a beer trader. Just like commercial fishing is considered a hazardous job, it seems as though traders and those close to them have a high rate of illness, personal issues and death often resulting in delayed or unfulfilled trades. Like smoking, admitting to trading may cause one's insurance to rise...

It's amazing these people have enough the time and energy to be active on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/Untappd/Match.com/etc. under such dire circumstances.

Wait, so he responded after a month and said he would ship the next day, but you told him NOT TO and to wait until his situation got worked out? I know you were just trying to be thoughtful, but I feel like that puts you partly to blame on this thing dragging out as long as it has. If a guy has already shown signs of flakiness, don't give him more slack so he can continue flaking.
