I can honestly say I never saw my grandfather drink a beer. He drank bourbon and water and mixed it up once in a while with a vodka and tonic. He did however always keep beer in the fridge for my dad and me.

Not sure what they enjoyed when they were younger, but I always used to see my dad's father drink Meisterbrau and my mothers father drink Heineken.

Was raised down in Texas, so the old man liked PBR & Lone Star, when he wasn't sipping on that 'shine in the mason jar

I'm drinking a good ol' Miller High Life in honor of my Pap Pap, who would be 115 years old today. Cheers!

Lone Star and Pearl. My wifes grandfather, of German descent, drank his Lone Star warm...all the time.

My grandfather knew the AB distributer - he drank cold bud at a reasonable price.

    My grandfathers didn't drink.
One was forcefed moonshine at the age of four by his charming step-uncles and never touched a drop again, though he had no problem with others drinking.
The other was a puritanical bigot who grew up in a dry county and thought everywhere else should be like that.

Awesome Thread. My granddad is the man! When I was little he always drank Black label pounders. Then I remember him drinking milwaukees best and now he's milwaukees best light. He's 87 years old and still can out drink most people I know.

My grandfathers passed away before I got to know them. My great-grandfather was an awesome guy, a chef that came over from Germany before WW II he came to enjoy some of Americas finer things including the Dukes of Hazard. (Especially Daisy) I apparently learned to walk by chasing him for a sip of his Becks. Still have this random tray from the drinking area in his cellar.
