What style is this beer? Can't find anything on it.

 

Scottish ale made with willamette hops. Fairly malty and sweet with lite herbal hop notes. 8% ABV. I've read on HBT that the HotD house yeast is a scottish ale strain so it only makes sense that Alan would brew this style.

 

Very cool! I realized I should check the HotD website and bingo...there sat "Will." I'll definitely try it next time I'm down there! Thanks for the info.

I believe the correct terminology is "heather grey".

 

As far as scottish style ales go, I thought it was pretty tasty. definitely worth a try!

Agree with your score. Fits the style guidelines and enjoyable. Not as distinctive and memorable as Lila though.
