Well I have since ruled out my original guess, but I'm now wondering if my sender lives in the state in which my mom grew up...

If one were to draw a line from Mt. Baker, WA to the Northern tip of Lake Champlain, NY, my target lives south of that line. S/he also lives east of the Rockie Mountains (so that rules out @woemad and @kemoarps ). It appears my target has never had a beer from my state. Thusly, has almost certainly never had the beers I'll be sending him/her.

Also for my hint #4ish: not to pigeon hole my target, but vinegar>mustard/molasses/tomato

I have a cheat sheet to keep track of all of these hints and cross people off, it's not helping.

According to Wikipedia, my target lives in a place with many thousands of lakes/ponds.

I think your NFL team is named after (but does not reside in!) a city in which I once lived...

Hint #3: my favorite sports team is from my target's state (gotta figure out when it's time to give useful hints).
Info #1: target package will likely be weighted towards darker beer.

    Hint #3
If my target were a sailor for Charlemagne, following his Rose of the Winds, his initials would be translated as Vuestnordroni. If he were Roman the initials would be translated as Corus, as a Greek the translation would be Argestes (ὰργέστης) <<there's a tongue twister. But many maritime historians would also know this ordinal direction as the Mistral Wind. Find that, and you have your initials.. :grinning:

Hint #1 - My target lives in a state I've been to more than once but in a city I've never been to or even through.
    Hint #2 - I'm shipping in a westerly direction.
Hint #3 - My target's first and last name begins with letters in the first half of the alphabet.
Hint #4 - My target lives east of the Rocky Mountains.
Hint #4.5 - My target has posted on this thread at least once.
Hint #5 - The three beers I have locked in to send so far (I'll probably end up sending 6-8) are rated 95, 95, and 97 on BA and are all brewed within 80 miles of my home. Two are actually brewed within 18 miles of my house.

Hint #5.5 - I've settled on a 4th beer to send. It's rated 93 on BA and I've yet to have it so I'm buying two. The brewery where this beer is made is less than 75 miles from my house. My target has had multiple beers from this brewery based on his profile, this is the only brewery that I plan on sending that my target has had a beer from as far as I can tell.

I suspect there'll be more hints when we get actual cities/towns. I've been keeping it broad for the reason that I don't want anyone (except my fellow Cascadians) to think they don't have a bullseye on their back.

Good point. I've had my targets address and everything else since Sunday so I've been unleashed on this thread. Probably won't ship for another 3 weeks so I should probably slow down with the hints.
