    We're going to my mother's for a Christmas Eve brunch. I'm drinking the beer on the left while I make a dessert. The beer on the right will be consumed with brunch.
    Tomorrow the kids and grandkids will be here. Haven't decided on a beer yet.

    This is a really tasty bourbon barrel beer - unfortunately Local Option calls it a weizenbock which it distinctly isn't, hence my low rating - it's syrupy and all I can taste is bourbon, no hops, no malt, no fruity esters, no yeast phenolics. Maybe bourbon barrel aged beers with bourbon masking (or overpowering) all other characteristics should have their own style - ie Bourbon Barrel aged brew, no other style.
