Short's Space Rock

Hoppy, crisp, and fresh drinking brew that's way to easy to drink

 

space rock was really good
dr. zeus was even better
but stellar ale was the champ. so good.

 

Just cracked my first one. Short's is really knocking it out of the park with all these APA's, IPA's, and IPL's.

 

Definitely gonna be saving the label off the bottle on this one.

 

I think there must be some bottle issues, both my brother in law and myself noticed a big band aid taste in our bottles... not good at all

 

Wasn't blown away by Space Rock (tough to compete with The Liberator and Cup a Joe ), but it's solid and my favorite of the seasonal pale ales by far.

 

I cannot find the production schedules on the Short's website. Does anyone know if this is the first quarterly Pale Ale release for 2015, or another limited specialty release for 2014 or 2015?

Sorry to hear. This is the first report of any off flavors. I even purchased a quarter barrel for a holiday party and everyone loved the brew. If you are dissatisfied, feel free to contact our customer service department and we will make it right.

Another new avatar for another new beer? I hope that one is available when I get to the brewery the next time i'm up in the area. Short's has proven to me that it can brew a great Belgian style, being the Gargle Blaster, so I'd expect this one to be delicious too.

 

I dig that they used Clutch lyrics on the bottle. Nobody else made the connection at the shop where I work.

 

I've got so many new Short's beers in my fridge that I had forgotten that I had this one. I'm drinking one now, but I don't detect this band-aid flavor at all. I get a solid grapefruit character, and I am loving it.

 

Just finished my third and probably final sixer of space rock with zero band-aid taste throughout. Hard to give it a number but space rock is in my top 10 shorts beers for the year. No free beers, eh hoser?

 

Loved everything about Space Rock. From the smell to the flavor to the artwork. Best seasonal pale they've put out yet.

 

This is a beer I love. We've gone through a ton of it at the bar. And I've crushed 3 6'ers of it. I'm most impressed by the love it's gotten on untappd. Even the home brewers who rate all their beers gave it 4-4.5. That's onpressive

 

This brew is ridiculously crushable and delicious. Perhaps my favorite of the Pale Ale series.

 

Picked up a single and will probably be going back for multiple sixers on this. This has a great aroma that reminds me a touch like Zombie Dust but with some added floral notes. Correct me if I've wrong but isn't Space Rock a name Short's gives to a blend of Zeus, Simcoe, Citra, and Amarillo they make?
