Troegs to Connecticut

Now how about a central CT distributor :|

 

I know, just being irrationally jealous is all.

 

The entire state has now been signed. Rollout will be pretty much at one time.

 

Love me some Nugget Nectar, one of my original gateway craft beers. Will be nice not to have to go to NYC to get it.

So....what's coming off the shelf when Troegs gets its 2 facings? Lots of new entrants into Ct....without ever hearing what gets pulled.

 

I don't care much for most of the beers i've tried from them off the shelves. Even Nugget Nectar is good but nothing I go crazy for personally.

BUT, when I took a trip to PA earlier this year and stopped by the brewery, they had a bunch of "scratch" series IPA's and almost every one of them was excellent.

Still great to see another solid brewer distribute here....shelves are getting mighty crowded these days!

 

Why is there still only one distributor on the brand label licenses then?

Connecticut Launch
Beginning Monday, February 2, Tröegs beer will be available across the state of Connecticut through G&G Beverage Distributors, Inc. and Craft Beer Guild of Connecticut. “Expanding into Connecticut is an exciting move full of opportunity for Tröegs,” said Jason Kidwell, Tröegs Regional Sales Manager. “It’s a hungry beer market with a lot of potential, and our new wholesaler partners are full of enthusiasm. It's another big step in establishing our presence in New England.” Currently, there are approximately thirty Tröegs events at both on-premise and off-premise accounts throughout the entire state during the first two weeks of February. We’re kicking off the initial launch with the following year-round beers: Perpetual IPA; Troegenator Double Bock; HopBack Amber; and JavaHead Stout. Additionally, we’re sending Cultivator Helles Bock, our current Hop Cycle seasonal; limited mid-winter release, Nugget Nectar; and special cork & cage bottle conditioned release, Jovial, for the launch. Chris Trogner added: “With the success we’ve had in Massachusetts, we’re confident that Connecticut will help pave the way for distribution into other New England territories in the future.”

 

Well I will be the first to ask....anyone seen it yet? Preferably northern ct? Been wanting to try this for a while

 

Because there is literally...one person...at DCP who handles all the branding, distro appointments, etc.

Manchester Wine and Liquor has their shipment in. I bought two four packs of Nugget Nectar (cans). They have six packs of bottles too. They've also got: Hop Back, Cultivator, Perpetual, Troegenator, Jovial and the Anthology 12 pack.

 

A and P Mystic..same thing. Plenty of NN, Perpetual. ...no hop back.
