Nice find with the Walmart glasses, great price. That being said, nothing replaces one of these...

Simon Pearce from VT is the only way to go. Made by hand and built to last the Armegeddon. I have a couple of tulips, a snifter and a pint glass. Absolutely amazing shit. I don't buy my beer at Walmart and I sure as hell ain't gonna buy chinese made glassware from there either......

The glasses I use the most come from Libbey sets bought at Target.

    What do I win?

I've found that Libbey stuff from restaurant supply stores is the way to go, at least in my experience with cocktail glasses. The glass is thicker and feels like higher quality material, plus they're designed for industrial two-minute sanitizing dishwashers, so they laugh at the very notion of my home dishwasher damaging them. Restaurant supply Anchor glasses are tanks too.

That said, I tend to drink most of my beers either from a Teku (blank, bought them from Eataly for $10 apiece), a large Chimay goblet ($1 each from a grocery store that was going out of business), or from a 5oz sample glass (gift from a buddy up in Milwaukee, branded with the logo of a growler shop that one of his neighbors opened).

Just thought to give people info. for their purchasing power and anyone who currently doesn't have glassware but is looking to get some soon. Oh and the Libbey stuff at Target/Walmart claims to be made in USA (logo on website link) for anyone that cares about that sort of stuff. Like many others, I too already have numerous Sam Adams pints, Free shaker pints from Brewers (with logo), a higher priced craft brew set with pils, chalis, tulip etc. a Chimay challice, Sam Smith pint, Ommegang stem glass and numerous other 5oz sampling glasses.

Hell, I usually pick up a few glasses here and there from the dollar store. I picked up a couple 22oz mugs that are great for a buck and they have nonic pint glasses in case you break some.

Nice glasses, but your post would better suit a thread titled, "Where can I spend $60 on a shaker pint glass?"

I have Jester King and Prairie glasses that are made by Libbey. And they're both cool glasses.

I, too, received this set from girlfriend three or four Christmases ago. While I have started collecting glassware, it is still go to drinkware for me. Within the past few months, I have broken at different times both the "craft pint" and "stout/porter" glasses. I found that my local Bed Bath and Beyond sells the individual glasses for a couple bucks each.

good glass is usually thin because it's made from quartz and keeps beer colder, longer.

I've ordered from these guys as well. Excellent non-branded glassware. The Wal-Mart set looks decent too for the price - nice find.

Those are also the guys who run Growler Room in Austin. Basically in the same store. They're rad dudes and there's such a huge selection of different glasses online and in store.
