Trillium Brewing Co. is back

To each his own - I bought four Heavy Mettles and four Double Dry Hopped Fort Points earlier in the summer and drank them in stages over the next month and a half - while still ok after a month - by the month and a half mark, the quality had gone considerably downhill. I prefer hoppy bottles and growlers from Trillium as close to the bottling date as possible.

Anything heavily dry hopped should be drank quickly. But their standard stuff holds up well IMO. I've had a bunch of their beers on the release date that seemed a little more "green" than I'd like. A week or two later they taste much more palatable.

 

Interesting thanks - my observations were definitely on the dry hopped beers so will consider this for others. Happy holidays! And like your avatar!

 

All I know is that Mettle in the bottle drank killer last night.

 

stopped in after work yesterday, on my way over to the train. Picked up a Pot & Kettle, Melcher St, Trillium and Broken Angel.
No one else there at about4PM. in and out in 10 minutes.
PLanning on drinking the P&K tonight. PLans for rest are fluid at the moment.

Was in today, about 10th in line but somehow first one out with a fill of FPPA, 3 mettles, 2 congress st in about 4 minutes. Seemed like they had a good amount of bottle but mettle was flying out by the case once I went back with my cousin to get his bottles. The line went bezerker after us so hurry up in you need bottles.

 

Great to have you guys back up and running. PM Dawn was incredible. Nice addition to an already killer lineup of beers.

 

Having a bottle of DDHFPPA or double dry hopped fort point pale ale... have to say quite fantastic!!

 

So smooth a stop yesterday: hopped off the I-90 South Boston exit and got a spot on the first block before Row 34. Walked over to Trillium, no wait for bottles only. Grabbed a few Congress St, Mettle, and one each of Double P&K and Broken Angels. I was struggling with decisions since I thought there would be a few minute wait to examine my options!

In and out in less than 5 minutes, overall a great trip as even with this stop my trip to Maine was just over 3 hours. Had the double p&k last night and wished I bought more bottles!

 

Stopped by yesterday while visiting from Texas. Sad they're not doing samples as every time I've gone I've been told they wouldn't do samples (twice over the summer and yesterday) stopped me from buying more. Did get a pm dawn hope it's good! Heard great things

 

In and out with 8 bottles and 2 growlers in 5 mins at 12:15 today. About to crack open a Melcher St...

Great to have them back. Great to get some bottles and pours. I did feel that mettle has started to change a bit as mine were bottles on 11/29/14. When I say this I felt that each bottle tasted a bit different and not as I remember it tasting when I've had it fresh. Overall still a great beer and very thankful

 

popped in yesterday late afternoon, happy to have Trillium hoppy beers back. Congress St. and Mettle for me.

 

I arrived at 11:50 and must've been 40 people deep. I was out by 12:10! Can't wait to crack a Heavy Mettle tonight.
