That's what I paid at woodmans in madison too. This may not be bcbs, but the easy availability plus the cost makes this top notch!

:astonished: Which Woodman's? At Madison east CW BBS has been $12.99 this year.

I was on the west side, but I could be mistaken, I just remember it was around $12 so I thought it 11.50 sounded right but maybe it was 12.99

$12.99 was the regular price in GB. They had a little note up $46.00 for 4.

Woodman's is no longer the bargain spot for craft beer it once was, at least in the Madison area. I've seen a few things there priced even higher than Riley's, which is saying something.

in madison, I've noticed that woodman's east is consistently higher priced than west.

Good insight. Profiteering off the east side beard contingent, no doubt. Ironic given that there's definitely more money on the west side.

CW BBS is still just BA satin solitude and that beer has remained unchanged for a while now. Maybe some improved barrel aginf techniques where used but I'm pretty sure the beer itself is unchanged.

My friend, you are correct. I find it humorous that the author does not know what Y2K is or was. lol.

So my 2012, is three years old. Even better.

@Ri0 Weird he doesn't know what y2k was anyone 21 and over now should still have heard of it even just in passing over the years.

One of my favorite barleywines I ever tasted. I don't have facebook or twitter but consider me on your team for returning to four packs and cherry stout in bombers.

I have one lone 2012 bottle left not sure if I want to drink it just yet but damn if it isn't tempting me constantly.

Anyone have any idea when this hits the greater Chicagoland area? It hit mid January last time and I won't be in the Midwest by that date, but I see it's already out in Wisconsin. I've called multiple shops around here and they don't know (as one guy put it to me: "my Central Waters distribution guy is crap and never knows anything"). Any rumors from the hinterlands?

First one of this year's release for me. It definitely is quite mellow and has that heavy bourbon flavour with a nice chocolatey backbone. However, it's not hot or boozy at all. Seems to me that they might be blending barrels to a different taste over time. In my opinion, the direction they're going is the right one. Great stuff.
