CBS is back

Nice, thanks for sharing this. If anyone hears definitively that this is all locations and not just the downtown location I'd greatly appreciate that info. The chances of me making it to the city are zero but possible the one in the northern burbs. Thanks!

 

Almost definitely just the downtown location. Word is that about 20 kegs made it to Chicago and doubtful that Otooles got 2 of them. This is just me conjecturizizing though, so best of luck to ya

Not that I know of. The only other time I know of a keg being tapped here is mid-January. A few places in Grand Rapids are tapping it tonight though.

 

If I went to GR for NYE what is the likelihood of getting some CBS?

Also, does anyone know when Clubhouse BFD is going to tap their CBS?

 

I just got two pours of CBS in Battle Creek at Cricket Club. More miller and bud were being ordered than anything else.

 

Red Baron in Burton, MI is tapping it tonight at 8 according to their Twitter. One of the few places in the Flint area with a nice craft brew selection.

 

Some asshole is probably already lined up waiting to get their 5oz pour ticket.

If you're correct, that means 20 complete shit shows. I feel sorry for the bars that actually get a barrel of CBS. They're going to have idiots camped outside of their establishment for days.

 

Not all establishments will do a big event release like this. At least a few places will quietly put it on and the locals will finish it all off before it even hits online. The way it should be.

I hope you're right. However, the ridiculousness of the Chicago craft beer scene has gotten insane so I would be suprised if there was 1 "silent" tapping.

 

Clarkston Union tapped it an hour ago and it blew in 15 minutes. Wasn't even advertised until they tapped it.

Yup. I don't even get how that many people knew as it wasn't advertised until today.

 

Didn't blow in 15mins it lasted an hour. Looks like it was a full size to me.

 

They switched to 1/4 a few years back.

 

I called at 12:15 and they said it was already gone. Weird

 

I'd read it was tapped at 11am.

 

Tapped at 11, kicked around noon-ish. Definitely took way more than 15 minutes.

 

Ah that makes sense then. Thought it was tapped at noon when I saw it on fbook
