Black Monday for coaches today :grimacing:
With San Fran's Harbaugh already gone, this morning Marc Trestman in Chicago, Rex Ryan in New York, and Mike Smith in Atlanta all got the axe - with the Chicago and New York GMs keeping their coaches company on the way out the door...

But cheers to Rex Ryan, who made it cool to be a Jets fan again - even if just for a bit :sunglasses:
I'm sad to see him go :slight_frown:

    Cheers, BA

Looks like that cork barely survived!
    How was it?

Can't compare, aquavit is based on potato spirit and different spices, anis and cumin are frequently used. Aquavit is a traditional snaps, often used in combination with our quit heavy Christmas food.

I have tried it on some if my friends from abroad, some like it and some find it "interesting".

New Local Session IPA. I dig the label though.

The hop profile is interesting. It's a mixture of various Citric fruits and resinous undertones, smooth finish with a lingering bitterness that is almost unbalanced. All in all this is a good beer.

Girlfriend brought this back for me from her visit to Brazil. A coffee porter, not bad at all.

Another solid Czech. This is my favorite of the Czech lager beers that makes it over here, just wonderfully clean and dry yet malty and distinctly herbal hoppy with a good strong bitterness backing it all up. An ideal pilsner.

    Packing a box requires refreshments...

I've been working my ass off getting this Box on the way. Some unexpecting BA is about to recieve one of these...

    Oh this is the refreshment!

I hope that BA enjoys them all! Or atleast just tells me they enjoyed them.

Another liquid lunch at the Ginger Man NY.

First up: Duchesse de Bourgogne. Despite the fact that I love Flanders Reds, this is my first time with the Duchesse. I expected her to be like Cuvee des Jacobins, but man was she sweet. Very different and very tasty.

Next: Arthur. Had a bottle of him a few months ago, but it's hard to pass up HF on tap. Good stuff.

3rdly: SingleCut ERIC Rum Barrel-Aged More Cowbell! Chocolate Milk Stout. It was a bit thin on the flavor, but man did that have mouthfeel until 2016 (see what I did there?). It was like drinking a milkshake.

Finally: Westbrook 4th Anny: Have a couple of bottles, but I figured I try it. Way better than the Orange Bliss. I imagine this is what last year's prop would taste like if it weren't barrel-aged. An excellent offering.

Cheers, BA! And happy new year.

I'm having Augsburger Herrenpils and it really is a treat. Bready malt combined with a strongly floral hop flavor. They obviously use a good amount of hops in brewing this beer, both at the start and at the end of the boil, as the beer has both a substantial bitterness (I would guess that it is over 40 IBUs), and a strong hop flavor from late boil hop additions. A pilsner of the highest quality no doubt.

Yea, the cork took some effort to get out. The beer held up fantastically, damn amazing.
