This is my wish for Stone and Knee Deep breweries to add 12-oz bottles to their output. I don't always have somebody there to share a bomber, and can't always suck down the whole thing myself.

Stone makes all kinds of 12 oz bottles.

IPA, Ruination, Levitation, Smoked Porter (plus variants), Pale Ale, Coffee Milk Stout, Saison.........

I'd like to see RuinTen and Double Bastard in 12-oz.

Stone does do tons of 12 ounce bottles, and made a reference on their Facebook page this morning that they will be doing more 6 packs this year....apparently compared to the many year round beers that they sell now that are only available in 4 packs. That would be great, as I mainly buy their year round beers in the mixed 12 pack format, as it is a great deal for 4 really high quality beers compared to the 4 packs which just aren't a very good deal.

Not gonna be done. High ABV will never see 12oz from Stone.

But then they'd have to charge less $$ per ounce!

Here's hoping the 2015 craft brewery trend is the move away from big bottles (and the relative cost per ounce) to something more accessible. Would love to see more $8-$10 6ers and $12-16 12 packs!

True...but they would doubtlessly sell more of those less profitable ounces..maybe many more. They will have to make the call. It does look like they will be releasing Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Aged Arrogant Bastard in 12 oz 6 packs.

They do their SSR black IPA in 12oz at 8.7% and the Ruination at over 8% in 12oz...with what looks like a new beer (Barrel Aged AB) at around 8% in 12oz 6 packs...so I wouldn't make real definitive statements with them...they seem to like to do what the market demands, so if there is a great market for it I would bet they would do it.

RuinTen and Double Bastard are both >10%. Not to mention they're seasonals. Stone never does 6 pack seasonals. SSR is also not available in 6 packs, only in the 12 pack variety. Ruination is done in 4 packs.

There are plenty of $8-$10 6ers and $12-$16 12 packs out there. Problem is, you live in CA. I live in NY and anything in that price range [with the exception of Sierra Nevada products] are all craft crap.

For some reason, all the prior comments refer to Stone. Yes, I wish Knee Deep would use some 12 oz. bottles but I'm just glad I can get my hands on some since they just recently started distro in NY. And for the amount of Knee Deep beers I can drink, bombers are just fine, whatever the cost [since I think their beer is worth it].

If you don't mind your "Double Bastard" Bourbon Barrel aged, you could pick up a 500 ml ( 16.9oz ) bottle of Southern Charred.

I thought that the Milk Coffee Stout and Saison were both considered seasonal releases?

Yeah you might be right. In that case, high ABV seasonals.

    SSR is in four packs.

Is it now? That must be new. Either way, I've never seen anything they've done > 9% in 12oz bottles. They don't do it and for obvious reasons. They make more money off bombers.

Not new. SSR has probably been in four packs since the time Ruination moved from six to four packs.

Shit, I probably just don't pay attention that much haha. The only Stone I really care about getting is Enjoy By these days.

Well, and the IRS and any collab they do.

I concur about knee deep. Also would like to see them do something other than high abv hoppy beers. Seems like every new beer is a "triple" ipa. Knee deep's citra in six packs would be awesome or 4 packs in 16 oz cans, yes please!
