Because after recently moving out of their distribution zone, I just got to (re)enjoy a Firestone Walker Union Jack IPA while on vacation. And I had forgotten just how much I love that beer. Call me crazy, but that is at the least a Top 3 IPA for me, personally.

Plus, Opal, Parabola, DDBA (RIP), DBA, Stickee Monkee, Sucaba, Double Jack, Agrestic Ale, Pivo are also all fantastic beers. Pale 31 and Velvet Merlin are good too. And I could say the same about their Anniversary Ales if I were willing to pay their prices. Etc. Etc.

Only beers of theirs that left me unimpressed was Velvet Merkin and their Robust Porter.

    So cheers to Firestone Walker.

Double Jack is one of the best DIPAs I've had. Not quite as high on Union Jack on you are, but certainly top 10 for me. If you haven't had Wookey Jack, you need to get some. Probably my favorite black IPA.

FW is my favorite brewery (Founders is 2nd). All of their boxed beers are far and away the best craft beers out there, IMO. Parabola has moved ahead of BCBS as my all-time best stout.

Yes, forgot about that one. Not a black IPA fan but do love that beer too.

Met David Walker at an event last year. Super nice guy, signed a FW 17 for me.

And their BarrelWorks program sets the standard. I just wish I could get a growler fill of Saucerful 'O Secrets...

Love them, one of my top 5 favorite breweries.

    Suggestions....
They gotta do something with the Double and Wookey Jacks, they just aren't moving at those prices in 4 packs. They're 100% bonafide shelf turds at this point.

Also, I'd love if they expanded the 805 line to one or two more noob friendly options, something like an "805 Red" amber ale or an "805 Green" pale ale. 805 has really caught on with non-craft drinkers around here, why not crank it up another small notch?

I couldn't agree with you more OP. I am no longer in their distro area and it pains me. I was just starting into my real adventure of craft when I left their distro area, so I didn't try some of their beers that I wanted to, but everything I did try was a hit. One of the first IPA's I actually enjoyed was Union Jack, and my love for english style ales makes DBA a great choice.

What maryland lacks in bells and founders distro, they make up for with FW. Oh yeah, and ballast point too.

Love their shelf beers, especially Wookey Jack. Just wish I could find their limited releases more...in 3 years I've managed to find DBA once, and the 17th anniversary ale.

Met Walker on his Walkers wild ride were he brought with him the in house sours, and they are superb just an addition to an already amazing barrel aged program.

FW is my favorite brewery. all they are missing is a beer club, just show me the dotted line for that! would be better than their current $100 release tickets thats for sure

So agree with this. They absolutely kill it with so many different styles. It doesn't matter what mood I am in, their beer could make me happy any day. All hail FW!

Nobody touches their depth of BA beers. That's for sure. And Double Jack (when I can find it fresh) is up there with any DIPA I have ever had.

I look forward to every Proprietor's Release that comes out. Whether they are still needed time to mellow, it's always delicious. I am starting to find that 6 months is the golden number for me when it comes to aging, with the exception of the Sucaba 2012, which still tastes hot...but yet, still damn good.
