I found it odd he hadn't posted in a while, figured "IRL stuff" came up, as I've been known to disappear from various internet communities for periods of time.

Edit: Realized the quotation marks could make that statement come off the wrong way, so just wanted to clarify that I'm not putting it in quotes to say things are being made up, just that the phrase "IRL stuff" just encompasses all unforeseen real life circumstances/obligations that unexpectedly pop up haha

Question about a 2010 BCBS bottle if anyone can help. I recently acquired one in a trade and the cap is flat black, no Bourbon County writing. Is this typical?

 

I think there was a similar post in beer trading talk and help and it was just flat black for the coffee

 

Yes, some of the older vintages/variants have black caps. My rare did too. After the whole KBBS rewaxing scare I did a lot of research on the subject haha

 

I know the older ones with white labels (2008 was the last) have different caps, but I don't know about the ones since.

 

Thanks. The trader seems like a great BA, good feedback and multiple trades. Just figured I'd ask around as I hadn't seen that before.

Hopefully none going to MN or those parts, had my first problem with frozen beer. -10 or so temps and sitting on the porch all day popped one of the bottles I sent. Oh well, wanted to ship another anyway.

 

Thankfully none are going that far north, should be good for temps hopefully. I keep MN weather on my phone and it keeps letting me know the wind chill is down around -20 or -30 or so...

 

Is it bad that my refrigerator circuit board crapped out, and until it got fixed I had most of our food in a cooler with ice on my deck, while my beer fridge was right on target in my basement? Ssshhhhhh!

 

HAHAHAHAHA! That's my kinda guy right there. Last year our power went out for a few days, and I was definitely a lot more worried about the temperature control in my beer fridge than I was the fact that the only groceries we didn't throw away had taken up residence in a snow bank in my back yard.

 

By the way, a bit of VBS action, wanted to do a side-by-side. The BA is way better than the base, which already isn't too shabby.

All right nobody is particularly close. Although a couple of you are in the ballpark. Anyway. Clue #2 on their names. I said in the first clue that I named the cats, thinking that you would stay away from "fluffy", "morris", "felix" type names. I can't stand cutesy names for any pets. I've named my pets one way since high school. Guess away.
