This morning's libations are brought to you by the generosity of two BAs: @LeperJim for the glass, and @JayORear for the liquid inside.

Thanks a ton, guys. This is how one should start the day!

19F this morning, and I'm headed to New York in a little over an hour. Last night I took my best friend out to the casino; he lost big, I won big. Plenty of great beer was consumed (before the casino; Coors Lite and liquor were consumed at the casino, much to my chagrin).

Today promises to be eventful, at the very least.

    Cheers, BAs!

Last day of the year = start the day with a beer. Same usually goes for all other days too but whatever. Pairing this with some eggs, sausage, and black coffee.

    Cheers!

Perennial Sump, a bit thin, but terrific coffee flavor. Cheers BAs!

Just a quick note, went to the Ginger Man in NYC for lunch yesterday. What a great place. Green Flash le Freak, Firestone Walker Double Jack IPA, Shmaltz Mazel Hop IPA all to wash down a roast beef w horseradish mayo. A must visit for all BA's. Happy New Year to all!!!

    Last night's cellar raid:

From left to right (in order consumed):

    Wicked Weed Black Angel (2014)
    Bell's Expedition Stout (2011)
Firestone Walker Barrelworks Feral One (2014)
Firestone Walker Barrelworks Bretta Rose (2014)
    Allagash Fluxus (2011)
    Firestone Walker XV (2011)
    Delirium Tremens (2011)

Not pictured: my homebrew Albino Koala (a white IPA).

Yes, I did have a friend to help. And no, we didn't drink every drop of every one of these. The Bells and the Allagash were just too much for us. This is the last time I'm doing an Expedition Stout; every one I have had, whether fresh or with up to 5 years age on them, tastes like soy sauce and bitter chocolate (in a bad way). And the Fluxus, while more or less true to style for a bier de garde, was just way too sweet. If it were a bit drier, it would have been excellent.

That's from the early 2014 release, right? Not a new or recent release, I hope?

    Yes, @bowzer4birdie, it's not a new release, don't panic!:wink::wink::wink:
