I like it. First bottle impression is that this batch is super piney until it warms up and some of the citrus shines through. It is totally a hop bomb.

Trying to get all caught back up again.

For my ugly sweater LIF....I learned a little lesson here, on my next one I will make sure that deciding the winner is pretty cut and dry. I am having a terrible time deciding on a winner. There were only three entries submitted before the deadline and one submitted after the deadline. Since it is so tough to pick a winner I have decided that everyone that entered is going to get a box. Winner boxes will be sent to Ninjembro, edhizdeid, and Valrxman. A consolation box will be sent to @devilfluff.

came back to Minnesota from NC to frozen radiator pipes after my radiator stopped working while we were gone. so that was lovely. thankfully heating and cooling company fixed under warranty of radiator (long story).

that said, was going to ship winter 6er next week but I think i'm going to wait and see if it gets above single digits during the day here. (sometimes things sit on a truck outside for a while). To my sender: I don't mind if you wait a week - supposed to be back in the single digits for highs here next week, though there is someone at my house all day to bring in packages. they just get cold on the truck sometimes too. I have fedex and UPS delivery managers so I'll know when it's coming if you tell me or not.

 

First time LIF winner myself as well! I'll probably run mine at some point in February, and it will probably be a pizza boy LIF

 

All this LIF love recently, it's time that I run my own. Time to pay forward the generosity of @heystevec for his Jersey LIF.

This will truly be a local(ish) LIF--No whales or wants--the contents are already picked. Here is how it is going to work.

I will be checking in periodically through the weekend to respond to guesses.

I will be sending out two boxes. The contents of the first box (I will probably add another beer or two later...) are in the picture below. The label is hidden. Anyone interested in participating may guess what the hidden beer is. After correct guesses, I will take another picture with correctly guessed beers revealed. The first person to guess all five "hidden" beers correctly is the LIF winner.

Here is where it gets just a little interesting. The winner has to make a choice. Either:

a. The winner can choose to receive both of the boxes--Box 1 (revealed beers plus one or two others) AND Box 2 (Mystery surprise local box--similar contents to box one but NO repeats)
b. The winner can choose to receive the revealed box (Box 1) and send the mystery box (Box 2) to another BA who has participated in the Locals (any round)
c. The winner can choose to receive the mystery box (Box 2) and send the revealed box (Box 1) to another BA who has participated in the Locals (any round)

(of course, you could always decline the prize and forward both boxes to one or two BAers, securing beer Karma for 2015!)

This could go quickly...
